Well when it comes to cars with those color-shifting paints, what about those? I remember seeing a Summit Racing-sponsored drag race car with this color-shifting paint. People may think they are for the import/sport compact crowd (oh, you'd be totally wrong when you play through Gran Turismo 3), but in one way it's a nice touch. I wouldn't recommend it because I haven't seen a color-shifting combo that works wonders. This will impress the enthusiast fans... what do you say that for people who want the color-shifting, that they have to pay for it? Like, let's say a color pack to have several different colors shifting can range from 2,500 Cr for just two or three colors, and can go up to 10,000 or 20,000 Cr for stuff like the Reflex Spice? And any customs can go for 10K a pop. So if a girl wanted to mix red with hot pink, or maybe a Dodge Viper to get "Fireball Orange," they can make their own. And I don't think it can really deplete the PS2's power to do such a thing.
Now, as an alternative to the paint deal, I think there should be an option in which you can configure your own driver plate. I wanted to make this a seperate topic, but elected not to. So, you can configure the driver plate for your car. Look at Speed TC, the BTCC, some GT Race Cars, and that sort of thing. I think a Sega GT installment had those driver plates on the cars, but with no number on them. So you can put in your driver number to make your car a racer and be better recognized. I say driver plates and not like in NASCAR, where you're better known for the number you haul around the race track. The driver plates in road racing are more professional, and GT is a professional game. So it's win-win. Or is it? Reply.
