Patina paint job?

Add one to your collection that is open for editing, then go into the livery editor and have a look. The better ones likely use lots of decals from the showcase too, you'll have to search for those too.

To create the impression of a "barn find" or wrecked vehicle you first will have to choose "matte decals". Try to apply blended decals in grey or black and tune the transparency. Use different stacked layers. This will create a dusty look. If you want to apply rust: Search with this keyword and you will find lots of user-created artwork you can freely use. You will have to invest some time, but it will be worth it. Remember: You grow with your tasks.

PS: Unfortunately in GT7 you can't apply any decals to the windshield, the first row of the side windows, the trademark badges (except VW Samba), nor the lamps, nor the wheels/tires. Strictly speaking: A really perfect patina job is still impossible in this version of Gran Turismo.

I've seen many examples in showcase but can't figure out how to do it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try them out this weekend.
