Is it certain or a hoax? I always take these celeb "deaths" with a grain of salt.. If there's no word from his rep or the man himself..?

There's a fair amount of confusion right now. I'm hearing the death hoax was made on Friday, which means the timing of this couldn't be any more cruel.

Here's another link.

Wow, this really sucks. He was no Oscar winner, but I really enjoyed his movies. I didn't realize that he was older than me, but still way too young. RIP Paul, I'm gonna miss your work.

My gosh this is quite sad, and from the story and what the reason he was doing the drive for makes it more sad. Supposedly it was to help raise money for Philippines disaster.

My heart is heavy and my glass of whiskey is high for him.

He was one of the few guys in Hollywood I truly admire and he had a big impact on me with those FF movies that shaped me into the car guy I am now. He was one of us and I know several people who have met him and can't praise him enough.

It appears to be true, unfortunately. That's incredibly messed up that site calling it a hoax is actually the hoax itself, done for web hits. :(

From what I've gathered, there was a hoax up a couple of days ago, which was confirmed as a hoax. Then today the actual tragedy happened, so there is a lot of confusion in the media and social networks currently.

Truly is a tragedy, as despite the sometimes questionable nature of his movies, he was a genuine gear head.

I wasn't a huge fan of his movies but I'm sorry to see this happen. He had the passion for cars that we all have and that alone gives him a 👍 from me. Indeed it is sad to see he died. :(

It would be so cool if this was some kind of joke.
R.I.P Paul Walker, Brian was probably my favorite character next to Han in the F&F series.
I loved him in the Fast & the Furious series, but Joy Ride, Into the Blue, also Running Scared was very good. Last one I don't recommend unless you like some messed up stuff in movies. :D

I still can't accept this. F&F helped cement in me as a child the passion for cars I have today, and I'm sure it has done that for many others. He's a part of my childhood, and one of my favorite actors. He even had a passion for cars behind the scenes as well, which just made him all the more likeable.

Rest in Peace Paul, I could shed a manly tear right now.

It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. - ‪#‎TeamPW‬

On his way the a charity event when it happened. I'm dismayed. :(

RIP

Wow, what a shame. I've actually been a pretty big fan of his even before his F&F days (and I even liked F&F). RIP :(

Wow. Speechless for a second. I love cars. I love Paul Walker, but I just wish that these stars would just take responsibility with vehicles. There has been so many deaths through car crash and he's one to add to the list sadly.

Seemed like a genuine car lover.

R.I.P man.
