If what you said is true, then he should get his PS4 replaced because only 1 game kept giving random crashes, good luck explaining that to the store or Sony rep.

I think quite many should experience crash/freeze issue on PS4, maybe pcars forum would show this.

As I understand it Project Cars is pushing the consoles to their limits so maybe it will be more likely to expose a hardware problem than other games.

I would be contacting Sony. How do you explain that people like me are not experiencing constant crashes if it is a software issue as you say?

My mate's already shelved the game, and he's doing fine playing other games for long hours in the weekends so far ( he's into witcher 3 now ). How do you explain only 1 game have issues that can occur from less than 30 minutes to after 2 hours of play ( random ), while the PS4 can play other games just fine ? And then, there are PS4 owners who never had issues with the pcars ? I'm truly baffled my self.

My Fanetc GT2/G25 combo seems to be working now, but the wheel itself is no good for racing (need 3 o'clock & 9 o'clock hand positioning, looking for a CSR). Replays look much worse after 1.4 with loads of screen tearing & frame drops. I can still see the ghosting even with slider on 20, gonna try it set to 0 & hope the jaggies don't poke my eyes out!

So strange, for me the replays (and ingame) are dramatically improved and i didn't even mess with the new slider.

that's probably because the new slider is set to 20 as standard which appears to be far lower than it would have been pre-patch. The difference is huge.

What wheel are you using for PS4?

I use a Fanatec CSW v2 with clubsport v1 pedals.

He's a WMD member. I take what they say with a pinch of salt. It looks like he's in sales rep mode.

Its posts like these that really piss me off. He is a WMD member at the second lowest tier, so that means he made about a tenner of profit up until now... OMG imagine all the nice things he could buy from frauding people into believing pcars is actually any good. There are several members here who have no big financial stakes in the game whatsoever and were still answering questions and passing feedback on to the devs for hundrets of hours up until this point. With practically no financial gain and during their free time. To see those efforts disrespected like that and basically calling him a liar because he has no issues is just shameless and thoroughly demotivating for devoting any further effort.

And for your info, I had no issues with my T300 either until 1.4. Yes, there was a centering spring feeling but I could dial it out enough so that it didnt bother me.

It was certainly enough for me to need to and drop from first to last.

Got a reply from Doug:

Thats because they are already on rain tires (probably near a start i'm guessing). Their prediction is too good, looks too far out. The real magic is that the AI rain tires are too good in the dry in this example. They should have started to burn up by then. We can't do anything with that, So we are knocking down the prediction in the next patch by 1/2 or 1/3 the amount they look out in the future so they are starting on slicks. I know it's confusing

. But lets just wait till the next patch.

We can't see a forecast but the AI apparently can, as they already start on the tyres they will need when it starts raining. Wet tyres that are also incredibly fast on a dry track it seems...

Well main issue is that the amount of online Players in PCars is UNDERWHELMING, and the public room are a place where is impossible to make friends or get acquainted to the 1-2 serious racers out of 100 drivers due to not way to kick, ban, and no in room textual chat.

Just to add to the previous comments, there are also those of us who have literally zero interest in gaming online...

Make a serie or join one like i did.... Not having much luck with numbers to be honest by the Pcars drivers ratio here on gtplanet is very very low, and having a super successful tiered serie running drained up most of the ones looking for online racing lol

If people don't show more interest in the online part of the game which should be the real focus because its a racing in other words a competition game the online part will continue to suck(lobbies and the amount of people online)

That's funny because I must of made at least a dozen new friends and have good clean racing every night. I guess that's because i actually tried to and didn't expect it handed to me on a silver platter. I know it's crazy that i went out of my way to ensure the best racing possible.

He's on ps4, so it's a bit worse than PC

Still, all it takes is a little bit of effort. Find a clean good racer send them a friend request. Eventually you get enough like minded people and every night your racing is good fun with other like minded racers. The pc options aren't that great either, but there is a text chat at least.

PS4 1.4 is a pure joke. After few days I don't see any improvement, worse I now often have the bug where your setup changes randomly through sessions although I NEVER had it before the patch. Had black screens, etc... No freeze yet but it wouldn't surprise me.
My level of frustration toward the game is dangerously reaching the level of fun I had from it...

Agree. There are threads on here for XBOX1 and PS4 users. Go to those threads and add everyone as a friend. I have had some great races with the friends I have connected with from the XBOX1 Users thread.
