That's pretty f'n sweet.

Too bad there isn't an opening for "American Retard" or I'd be in!

GTP have some JP members right? maybe one of them could become part of the GT staff ..Kaz could hear us more "directly"?

There is a new job for "Modeling Assistant":

>Skills: Knowledge in 3D modelling programs/drawing.
>Is Part time(quota of 5 working days, no schedule defined but I'm guessing 4-8 hours).
>Payment: 1200¥(or 15.60 USD hour, I think)
>Location: Shenzhen 2F, Building 1, 1-1-1 Koto Yamatane Etchujima
or
Fukuoka SRP Center Building No. 22 5F 2 chome, Sawara-ku, Fukuoka Momochihama(the last one seem to be the new location of their studio).
>Age: Between 18-30 who can work at long term.
>Seems to be temporal.

There is also standard guidelines for the CV(Include samples of previous works) and (as any other application to any job at SCEJ) it has to be sent to their Tokyo headquarters at 〒 108-0075 1-7-1 Konan, Minato-ku (SCEJ itself has their on application procedures).

I should say that SCEJ has their own enrolment and career internship for long term/specialized jobs(like design and development), therefore any "serious" positions at PD will be already taken, and only secondary and urgent positions will be available.

Finally PD always posts the same HTML dev positions for some reason, however there were some positions(a few months back they needed a maths professor, probably to optimize the code and algorithms) that are open temporally.

Maybe someone in Japan might be interested, they are not recruiting people overseas, and as I said before it might not be a serious position, just a temporal one(maybe a permanent one depending on the subject skills).

No wonder it takes PD so long to fix or update anything...in all those photos, not 1 person is working!

You talk about sound improvement and uses youtube as example... not exactly helping your case.

Well of course a compressed youtube video isn't the greatest thing ever, but I think most people get the idea.:) The Corvette in the video I posted actually sounds like a big v8. The McLaren actually sounds like a big v12. (They should since they are recordings of each respectable car.) Gran Turismo does alot of good things with sound (wind, tires, doppler effect), but engine cylinder placement on alot of vehicles are way off. The Corvette RM sounds like a 4 cylinder in my copy of the game. The McLaren F1 sounds like an "anonymous" cylindered engine. What do these two cars sound like on your system?

You do know that working for pd would make you hate playing gt, don't you? I used to love playing footie games until I worked for a developer designing not one, but trip of them. Haven't played one since.

To be honest, working in games puts you off playing games in. general. It's only since I got a "real job" that I've started spending any time gaming again.

Yeah, business takes the fun out of everything, except making money. Mojang, they who make Minecraft etc., supposedly run theirs like some kind of bedroom coders outfit, just like it was for Notch (before Minecraft exploded) and thousands of devs before him. That must be fun. In fact, you should take up making games again, but as a "hobby". It doesn't have to go anywhere. 👍

1200 yen per hour, thats like $12 per hour for modelling assistant! Required skills: As simple as being able to draw... Although the translation may not be 100% accurate, it sure does look good..

Seems like they increasing resources in networking and community stuff!

And also one 3D modeller will be recruited.
