Official Gran Turismo account in Twiiter made this tweet and asked from fans in wich country would you like to make the next fictional track.. Are they searching for some new ideas? 🙏 :):gtplanet:

DREAM LOCATION
FOR A FICTIONAL GT TRACK?

Where does that read PD are searching for Dream location for the next fictional GT Track?
Well, maybe the twitter account could offer insight to some locations. The account asks similar questions about where players would like to drive their favourite car.

Something to really gauge what Players would like to see, are the surveys. Those ask players to choose car brands from choices like Alpina and Rolls Royce, etc. More controlled.

How about Cape Town?

It doesn't. It's just engagement from social media bods. Look at their other recent posts.

What have you got planned for #GranTurismo7's Livery Editor?
Favourite #GranTurismo car... three words... go!
How 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 does the High Speed Ring look in #GranTurismo7? Who's looking forward to racing here again?
Tokyo Expressway Daytime or nighttime?
Which circuit can you just never seem to tame?
Trial Mountain is 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠 in #GranTurismo7 Is this track one of your favourites?
Nations Cup Round 1 at Monza treated us to a spectacular ending - who were you cheering for?
What's your favourite fictional circuit on #GTSport?
Can you guess the tracks in these shots from our community?
The first ever #GranTurismo was released #OnThisDay in 1997. Who's been with us since the beginning? We'd love to hear your memories!

...and so on.

Classic social media engagement posts. Phrase everything as a question people can answer and discuss, share and tag other users.

PD have nothing to do with it.

Hmm... I want a "cities of the world"-type of theme, featuring returning city tracks such as:

Hong Kong - Original layout in Tsim Sha Tsui
London - Original layout in Piccadilly Circus
New York - Original layout in Times Square
Seoul - Seoul Central
Tokyo - Tokyo R246

I would also want new, additional layouts for some of the classic city tracks, such as:
Hong Kong - Mong Kok, Central, Chek Lap Kok (the airport)
London - River Thames, Westminster, Southwark
New York - Fifth Avenue*, SoHo, Brooklyn
Seoul - Myeong-dong, Itaewon, Gangnam
Tokyo - Shibuya Crossing, Akihabara, Ginza

NOTE: A possible Fifth Avenue layout in NYC in GT7 should be a bit further away from the original Times Square layout so it's a little different.

Those cities are way over used. Give me a village in the Andes, central China, Argentina or Turkey before that.

Buenos Aires is also a good idea, given you mentioned Argentina and appears to be a very diverse city. Not to mention Istanbul as well.

No, it's just typical social media user engagement.

PD have nothing to do with the English social media, they're operated by a specialist company hired by Sony.
It's weird that this got a poo reaction, given that it's entirely true - but then there's some people who don't appear to recognise reality.

The company is called Engage Digital Partners. It's based in London.

And yet there is nothing saying they don't communicate directly with PD staff or that PD staff won't read the replies.

How about a special stage on the Transfagarasan Highway in Romania.

It's probably the greatest road ... in the world.

PD has no role in Gran Turismo communications. It's all handled by the publisher, Sony. Sony outsources social media to Engage.

I mean, I've only worked with everybody mentioned (Engage also does Goodwood's social media during large events, like FOS and Revival; I work for Goodwood during FOS and Revival too), but hey, what would I know?

Nailed it.

Assuming that the responses actually mean anything, I'd pick somewhere in the world where there aren't many circuits, much like how we saw Croatia added as a locale in GT Sport. Perhaps I'd pick South Korea, or even China. The Middle East or Africa could be nice, too, as there's really just Kyalami and the Dubai Autodrome as far as actual circuits go.

Every company that runs social media profiles ask this question from time to time in lack of better things to post. Not even close to a survey.
I was just thinking of the surveys we got in GTSport for the Gr.4 Supra and RX-Vision. Coincidence the Alpina was mentioned in the survey and we may have an Alpina version of the 3.0 CSL? That’s more controlled, as I mentioned. No big deal.

Exactly.

You've got it backwards. There's nothing saying they do, and everything suggesting that they're just an independent marketing company.

You might hope that this is related to Polyphony, but you have to be able to recognise the difference between what you hope is true and what the actual evidence is telling you.

More original city tracks that I want that haven't been featured yet include:

Buenos Aires
Edinburgh
Hawaii
Kyoto (This time, the city of Kyoto, since we already have the Kyoto Driving Park as a closed course)
Los Angeles
Mexico City
Osaka
Rio de Janeiro
San Francisco
Sydney

How Polyphony should do these circuits is try to make the most picturesque landmarks into at least three layouts (short, medium and long layouts, like in WipEout Fusion) in order to highlight all the elements of these cities, so that it feels like you're really there.

Added bonus: More international representation as we have race tracks in Argentina, Scotland, and Mexico, countries that haven't had racetracks in the series yet.

The Real Moon! Not just Blue Moon Bay... I wonder how GT7's physics work with a lot less gravity and no air.
J/k I don't care about locations of made up tracks, I prefer real race tracks although some of the fictional ones truly are brilliant to drive.
