Penalty System Tragedies

PD gets a huge F for the current penalty settings. First you get a 4 second penalty because someone cant control his car very well and broadsides you in the corner while you maintained your line perfectly and left way more than enough room for him to navigate the corner. The 2nd 3 second penalty is just as bad, Im not sure if you got that one for getting rearended or for using your rear bumper to make contact??? How does one even do that, this is not a summer fair demolition derby where everyone is driving backwards into everything that moves. This deal with the higher rated driver getting getting the bigger (or only) penalty also needs to end, no matter how high your driver level is you can not prevent others from driving into your car. What is PD thinking?? One thing PD needs to do is make it tougher to get an SR S rating and keep it. Since I quit worrying about my SR so much and started driving less defensively and getting grouped with SR A & B drivers I have discovered some of those lower SR ranks are cleaner races than SR S races. I have seen some pathetic driving in the SR S rankings recently.

Fully agree fastone! - It's so bad now, me too will continue to race as clean as you would like on a racetrack but will also be fighting fair and good for better end-results each race again... - not the way I like but what can you do

Too many players have learned how to cynically game the penalty system.
Example: punt a player of on the the last turn of the last lap. (Maybe get lucky and get a domino effect on more than other player).
Punter gets a 3 second penalty.
Punted takes at least 5-6s to regain track and get up to speed (and maybe carrying a penalty too now).
Punter doesn’t even need to scrub off the 3s before the finish line.....

Is that fair racing Andrew? NO! I agree that you can do some educated ***** - but I believe most of us want reasonable judged race penalties. You are not causing an accident slightly touching a wall or ones bumper or getting pushed off the track by others!! You should NOT be penalised - Right?

I told a guy he needed to learn race etiquette because I was more than a car length ahead of him and he would dive to the inside on the same turn every lap.....and the third time I managed to hit him while keeping the racing line, and I got a 1 second penalty, and he didn't get anything.

His response to me "Um, I didn't get a penalty, but you did, so you learn how to drive". I just had to laugh at that comment......

Sorry Khannie - it sounds like the bad way this game is going today. I liked it but now I can't understand it anymore ----- very close to pull the CD out of my PS4! - Honestly not a game for fair and honest track racers anymore!
