They will then be their own file on the PS3.
You can even back them up to your flash device.

It doesn't remove any of mine... Even if it does, would it really matter THAT much? Since you can check the purchases you have made in the Playstation Store, and re-download it?

the serious players know that already. I will ask Marcos to put some Bugattis online then I will make a test tomorrow. When you have a second PS3, you don´t have to delete your game file, so everything should work out fine. No need to load patches and dlcs again, no loss of courses, thumbnails, photos, replays etc.. Just a little playing around with a single game save between 2 PS3s.
should be very easy and 100% safe.
but I will just do it once, so I try to get all expensive cars that I need (5-6) in one try.

You can redownload all DLC cars via your PSN store history (or how the thing is called), but only if you've reclaimed your code & not have got the cars via game sharing.
But that's not the fact for the Nissan GT-R SpecV (GT Academy Special). You've got the car by joining the GT Academy Challenge seasonal, which is now down.
Means that would be the only car you "could" really loose by doing it.

I'm tempted to do this to get the X2010 Prototype, only because I know I'll never win it legitimately, but for that same reason I pretty much don't want to. So yeah, I don't know. Also I can't really be bothered. Good find, though, I don't get how PD missed all these holes (some of which are literal holes) when people unearth them so easily...

I guess playing the game daily since the day it came out, having every car, almost every paint, and almost every collectible along with having a 96% completion rating doesn't make me a serious player. Cause I didn't know. How was I supposed to??

sorry no offense to you! but maybe you should have read the important posts in this thread. difficult I know, since all the kiddies are happy with messing up their garage, replays, photos and racing courses just to get some expensive car.
ZeGermanBastorD has had the brilliant idea to use 2 PS3s, I have done some thinking and when I am right. this glitch is a pearl for all hardcore collectors.
edit: at least for those who are not hardcore 0/0 collectors.

Dupping cars seems also not "right", but they do it. Grinding in a circle the whole day just to have the money for a "digital" car seems also not "right", but some really do it, omg.
Take your choice. And if you don't like that anyone can "steal" a copy of your car out of your online garage, take them offline.

You can borrow only one car at the same time. To borrow the next car you need to get online. To get online & have the borrow function back you need to download the update.
But if you have more accounts you can do the thing on multiple accounts in one go. Not a big help but better as nothing.

Just to put everyones mind at ease. I've done 3 or 4 trades between my two accounts and each one still has their GT Academy GTR safe and sound.
Since its given out as a gift ticket i'd assume teh game recognizes it as any other ungiftable car since we didnt actually have to download it. All my stealth/chromilene cars are missing but i can just re-download them which is no hassle and means i can actually move some of my nicer cars from my old main to my new main. I would say tho that teh easiest thing to do woul dbe to make a backup of your save before doing any duplicating 'Just in case' maybe ven store it onto pc and then have teh flash drive there so u can update as u go along

Well, it's not like were spending real money/time to do this. If we needed to take a trip to the tool/hardware store and spend an obscene amount of money and take our ps3 apart to replace some chips and whatever than i would see your point.

👍Plus I can have all Stealth & Chrome Line cars resetted to the "stock" condition (zero miles & zero tunes). Not bad.
Exactly. 👍 A walk around for our "stuck" diamonds. But sadly it will add a switch to the car.

It's "only" borrowing a car what these guys here doing, nothing wrong with it.
And I mean look at the seasonal time trials. They are glitched to hell (~top 50 are glitchers) & what is PD doing, banning people? No. They going to remove the seasonals, but only if someone complains.
Sony bans, not Polyphony Digital. And they for sure not ban people for using "offline" a bug of the game for their advantage.

Someone said you lose your saved photos, and I just turned my PS3 on to grab an X2010 Carbon from a friend. Went to Profiles and all my pictures are there. So dunno about those losing theirs.
