Yea but now nobody who has a rare car will be so willing to share said car.

I wouldn't try it with the Chrome/Stealth cars sicne I've heard so many stories about those cars corrupting data.

If you read carefully, both people have the car after the glitch is completed.
Also, what's a 0/0 car?

Yea, but some people who have the skill to get certain cars like the X2010 Prototype wont be so willing to share it if someones going to copy it, and thus fourth make their skills near worthless.

Good find, and I hope it works on Chrome/Stealths. I just did it, and I got a X2010 because I wanted to test it on a car I didn't have. ( the X2010 I borrowed/copied was all black with white logos )

That and there aren't any actually rare cars, except perhaps the "special offer" cars like the Edge Camaro or the Stealths that aren't in everybody's game.

By 0/0 people mean never driven - no miles/never switched to.

I'm sure you'll find plenty of people who are willing to share their cars for others to copy away. If they don't lose a trade day, why would it matter to them? I can already see request threads... Want a 0/0 X2010 in any specific color? As for the prototype, I've got a 0 mile (with switches, though) shared right now.

So, what's PD going to do now?

1. Remove trading restrictions, as they don't restrict anything anyway
2. Remove the share - function
3. Leave it as it is, only the patient man is allowed to get the car he wants

I just mean. Why would PD just let people do this? They implemented a trading restriction and now it's not working anymore.

A No. DLC can not be borrowed or rented
Chrome line, Stealth, and Exclusives, cant be borrowed/rented any way. The share with friends option is disabled on that content.
When the user tries to borrow it, they get told they can't.

That's only the crazy people. I've given away billions of copies of my X1, and with the glitch I can do it again.

Well I'm still waiting for the game to download the maps and other stuff to "Make the game load faster".

So the only real down side to this is the hour or 2 you will spend per car.

Quick question, as I may use this to glitch nurburgring in the vettel challenge

When I delete my game data, do I then have to re-download each patch (would be over a gigs worth of downloads) again ?

My game data file is 7 gigs, and i know alot of that is the option given at the start to dump data to the hard drive

Yes, you can share (put online) DLC cars, but you can't borrow a DLC car (Stealth, Chrome Line, etc.). And the PAL/NTSC incompatibility isn't the issue here.

But really, funny bug & great find. 👍

Great if you want to get untradeable cars. But it's very time consuming task & all the hassle only for 1 car is not very stimulating. How long does the download of the update or a restoring of a backup take, 1+ hour?

Yea your looking at almost 2hours of downloading. So best done while you are doing other things. Don't know if downloading the maps and stuff is vital, and if anyone else does it.

Also, don't reinstall the game until you have all the cars you want

My wired connection is super fast so it only takes 10 minutes to download all the updates. Thanks for the heads up on not installing game data. I will remember that when I do it again. But honestly guys, get this thread closed quickly otherwise PD will try to fix this bug as fast as possible. Hopefully they won't /can't but do you want to risk it?

Its realy easy to block this PDs end. version 1.11 will update game save to new game engine name.
Same as Replay game data is not backwards compatable.

Just play the game without installing it.
You don't need thumbnails TBH, there are Words next to them...

I'm not sure. I do not have any DLC cars, just to be safe don't do it yet.
