Just play the game without installing it.
You don't need thumbnails TBH, there are Words next to them...

So borrow, exit game, reload game, and switch cars to something you already own? I might need clarification on borrowing once game data is gone....

To be fair I'm not gonna be spamming this glitch too much. I have all 5 20mil Cr. cars, 2 X2010 S.Vettels, I'm not willing to get a Proto, I have a Miura, the two F1's, Giulia TZ2, a few LMP's, some of the other race cars, FGT and 20,000,000 Cr. in the bank. The one car I can see myself wanting to get from this is the Chaparral 2J, but I can get a Lv23 or 1970 ticket to get that. And most of the LMP's can be gotten from 23's too.

And I have DLC too.

Can someone explain how you borrow another car after you delete the game data? Because I can't get back online till the game reloaded the data.

nonono, you borrow the car before you delete the game data, the borrow hasnt been updated in the original game, so it shows up in your garage as yours because it dosen't know what to do with the car

I understand that part, but if you borrow 1 car then borrow another car the last borrowed car disappears.

right, but you borrow 1 car, then delete game data, then get back to gt5, then refuse updates, then exit (save game data), then install updates, and poof, you have a new car

I understand that part, but if you borrow 1 car then borrow another car the last borrowed car disappears.

That's why you get out of the car while still playing the unpatched version. It will then save it as your own car, and when you re-patch it won't know it was borrowed anymore. That's how I understand it at least, not having tried it.

Right but OP said that you can get multiple cars before installing game files. That is what I'm trying to figure out. Because if you refuse to install the game data ( ex: patchs ) then you can't get online.

GT5 v1.00 (the naked game version from your disk) doesn't know what is a borrowed car, therefore it get's transformed into a car of your garage. 👍

but what happens to the Nissan GT-R SpecV (GT Academy Special)?

It isn't a real "DLC" car, and the EU academy race where you could win the car is already down. So if you loose the car during the task (the car does not exist in v1.00) you can't get it back.

Reinstalling the game data for a 2nd time. Just a note ( for those who do it ), to save time in doing this don't download the 2nd data option ( maps,cars etc ) to save on load times. Will save you more time in the long run.
