Thanks for posting that video Holdenhsvgtsr.

A video I have on my HDD is the 1991 Bathurst race, if you are able to see that just watch Brock's hot lap (qualifying lap) around Bathurst, simply amazing on ragged edge.

Although the Skyline GTR's were quite abit quicker Brock in his Group A Commodore was much more interesting on the qualifying lap.

Actually the guy that designed the Daytona Coupe was a different guy, an American named Pete Brock who went on to run Datsun's Trans Am under 2-liter and SCCA programs.

You're right... I knew I was going to confuse the two, as they have the same name, but either way I was aware of his racing efforts nonetheless.

Very sad day indeed...

Great video Holdenhsvgtsr. Especially with the piano version of 'Numb' in the background. 👍
His death seems to sadden me more over each hour that goes past and I shed tears for nearly an hour when I heard of his death.

thanx guys :)

yeah i have that race too, awesome lap, loved how going round every left hand corner, the front left wheel was always off the ground :scared: 👍

RIP Brocky. I had the privelage of seeing his last race at Mallala Motorsport Park back in 97, and again last year in the yellow Elfin at the Classic Adelaide Rally. He was the best of the best, and he will be sorely missed.

Yep thats the one, good work on decoding and uploading so everyone else can see. 👍

For those of you from the Sydney area, there is going to be a large memorial cruise to Bathurst this Sunday (17/9/06) - all welcome. There may be some people coming from Newcastle, Wollongong, and Canberra too. If anybody is interested in coming you can find details at

I have no association with the site or people who are organising this so don't ask me for any further details - find them on the linked site. Maybe I'll see some of you there.
