I'm in. I am against the whole messed up car distribution model in this game. A week into it, I saw a VW Nardo concept in the UCD. I like VWs. I collect them. Real ones. Toy ones. Virtual ones. I planned on one stock and one to modify, like I have two Yellow Birds. It's how I play the game - compare times. So, I had the money but was not a sufficient level. Strike one.

So I read the Used Car database thread, figure out I have 1074 "Days" until it shows up again and spend an hour or two at a time starting events, not racing them, and getting out just to advance my "Days". Worse than grinding. Strike two.

Then I get to within 10 days of when this car is actually going to show up, and patch 1.06 COMPLETELY re-does the UCD and throws off all the research that went into figuring out which car was showing up when in their retarded distribution plan. Strike 3 as it were.

Just last night, after FIVE straight days of doing NO RACING -just starting and leaving practice - I get the car. 1386 "Days" into the game.

I am duping the HELL out of it until they shut it off. I've even arranged to borrow two friends PS3s to help. And I've never duped any car before. Since 1.06 my UCD has given me the oppotunity to buy 11 Fiat 500s, more than 200 different Miatas, FOUR 69 GT40's and two Panoz GT1 Racecars.

We play the game differently. The world is full of people who are different than you, if you can't work with that, than it is you who are doomed to a life unhappiness.


There is a simple solution, make x1's, or FGT's the same as stealth cars. They cannot be traded, or sold.....problem solved, it's a very simple solution.

All of these people saying it is good that now people have to work for the car, HA. Why are you learning life principles from a game. You learn life principles in LIFE. I play this game to escape life not live it again. It's like taking the shooting away in Grand Theft Auto and saying that you should try to earn stuff the real way by getting a job at McDonalds. That way you will appreciate what you have in the game. No I want to shoot some Mobster and steal a car. Just because I do this stuff in the game does not mean that I will shoot people and steal cars in the real world.

Also when I cheated in Goldeneye 007 no body frowned upon that, why is cheating so bad now. I understand if I were cheating in Call of duty online killing people through walls. This makes the game less fun for the people I am killing through the walls. When someone dupes cars they are not making the game less fun for others. Instead they are making it more fun for themselves, while not effecting others.

Well, Kaz supposedly views it as a collecting game, like Pokemon. And there IS that whole "Photomode" area. So to say that you shouldn't be able to trade cars in your collection, or be a photographer, seems a bit "stupid", to use your word for it.

That "simple solution" is pretty much what PD just did, and what upset so many people.

X2010s and FGTs are already unsellable. Try to sell one, I dare ya. And now they're unable to be traded, at least come March 3rd.

I DO want to just drive, but the game gives you no money, how can you afford a decent amount of race cars with out dupeing?

I would also suggest that we have a no play week, for those who would want to. I wont play during the week even if PD doesn't notice, but with enough people maybe they will take notice. maybe a no play month? its not like i'd be missing out on that 20million dollar car I wouldnt even be able to afford after a months grinding

I never got scammed. Not to say you did anything wrong, but I payed attention as who, when and where the scamas take place.....it's not an easy thing to avoid.....though it willl happen to the best of us from tim to time.

My worries exactly. I got 2 free X2010s and I'v also given an f2007 for free. Now with the 1 slot/PS3 rule very few people will use that only slot they have to help others out and you really can't blame them. I havn't been scammed till now but even I got this feeling that it will be on the rise now. It truly does suck.

The only reason your not getting anyone friendly is because the top traders such as myself, Niandra, Caninehostile. soniae74, avoidthenoid,drivehard, and a ****load more are not bothering at the moment cause PD are a bunch of bleeping retards and have pretty much killed trading for ever and if they don't revoke this patch they will get a rude awakening when they release further games and even GT6 if they even make it by the year 2020 lol.

Plus most of the traders will be trying to get cars from sub accounts over to there main account, I for one am not because i have had 7 top mates lose there saves and now they are forced to start again. If they decided to take the backup feature away soon Everyone will lose there game saves and PD won't sell another game again... And sadly i was stupid and most of all my top cars are on other accounts So i wont be able to even get them in time, Thanks a lot PD, Learn to give a months bloody notice next time and take away the damn 1 car per ps3, what about all of the people that share there ps3s, you expect them to go out and buy another ps3? Good one you money hungry idiots, cause that would be good for you cause they have to go out and buy a GT5 game again and also the fat cats Sony will get another 500 odd for another system.. Way to screw over the consumers!

One other thing i wanted to say, I never have been scammed before and from all the kickass people i have traded with i have been branded as the best or one of the best power traders on here, not because of just trading, but customer service, and building relationships and exceptional communication play a massive part in becoming a successful trader on here or in Reality in general.

Furthermore, I put in a lot of work creating my trading garage and so did some really good mates of mine and i haven't even finished it because I was so busy mostly helping people out, not gaining cars for me, and now I have no need to finish the project! So a big screw you PD from me 🤬👎

I am very saddened that GT5 has come to this. We are a family of 5 players and we bought the PS3 specifically for GT5. I like to trade cars every night and my kids like to trade between themselves. But now they can't trade at all anymore because I use up the slot. So we have 2 choices:
1) Buy 4 more consoles, (may as well get 4 more games/wheels and TVs so we can all play online at the same time)
2) Give up, sell the PS3 and go back to Wii and XBOX which had started gathering dust since we got the PS3.

Honestly, my kids stopped playing GT5 since 1.07 except for one short stint with B-Spec online today. We are considering selling the box. I was so looking forward to GTP OLR, I even just created a GTP_account, but it will take time to get the garage up to snuff now.

So what if people want to dupe a million cars? So what if there are loads of X1s out there? Does it affect me or my game? No. Let them play the way they want, but let us families trade our cars without waiting days for a slot.

1.07 is going to kill the game, anyway you look at it.

I couldn't agree more with you bro, I find it saddening considering your situation with everyone in your family playing and trying to enjoy the game and then these idiots decide to put ridiculous limits on trading and now you are in this situation where you have to either sell the ps3 or move back to the xbox Why don't they stop it only if they must and make it so that you can trade 1 car a day to a separate ps3 that is not on your network or ISP or router, and have unlimited trades per ps3 and to all other ps3s in your house, and get rid of the bloody 1million limit and put it back to 20 million again. if people such as myself and others didn't trade these x1s, a lot of people wouldn't get to experience the thrill of actually racing one as the challengers are quite tough for the average racer!

Make races worth a lot of cash so people with stuff all time can actually collect all the really nice cars and get to race there friends with decent cars or even against opponents with these cars. If they actually put a crap load more content and then added a lot more cash and xp per race or challenge, there would be 0 duping out there and everyone would be happy. But thats not the perfect world for Sony and PD, they think by ****ing up the trading system, that they will be allowing Gt5 to last longer rofl. Give me a bloody break, it will kill the game and people that say its the ultimate driving simulator makes me laugh, it might be the only decent driving simulator on the ps3, Forza would be a better game only that's on the xbox, The real driving simulators are Iracing and Rfactor and there on PC, and i wonder why? because Real Driving Simulators are always on the PC because consoles have to many restrictions and limitations which is what we are seeing so far with GT5.

The daily limit is per IP address so if you had multiple consoles you would still only be able to do one a day

I have been a GT lifer and, as most of you, really looked forward to getting GT5. Preordered the collectors edition. I am SOOO disappointed in this game and the way they are putting restrictions into what is already a very restricted game that it may be my last GT game
