Iam having a real hard time improving here
I ran a 0:58,518 wich is enough for 33. Place.
I have trouble taking speed trough that right hander after the quick left right "chicane"
anybody got some tipps for me ? It either oversteers or understeers but never sticks to the line its only doing that on that specific right hander.

Gearing is of paramount importance here. you need to be entering at an optimum speed, not slower not faster than optimum. slower will make you oversteer faster will make you understeer. you need to have enough torque headroom in that gear to softly accelerate on the ideal line through the turn.what gear(s) are you using there now?

Im using a cargorat tune i adjusted some settings but i left the gearing the way cargo did it. Even on my 58,5xx run the left rear tire was slightly smoking/drift and i can tell i loose most of my time there in the "datalogger"
I tried it in 3rd and 4th

You could try setting a bit of front brake bias and see how that goes. I always find it a bit of a nightmare braking there as seems to turn in to early for me and scrape the wall or maybe fiddle about with the brake sensitivity on the LSD and see if its any better.

Hi,Thanks for the tune, I was thinking of this car, mainly because of its low weight and low pp, and the ability to turn it into a little monster. May I ask what sort of lap time you expect this to do?

Thank you, it will get gold fairly easily. I was in the low 1000's (Rank) last night during tuning without really having to push.
I can't remember how fast the lap was off the top of my head but if you look up my PSN you should see my time (using DS3 using ABS1 + Auto Trans). The car has a lot to give in the hands of a better driver, wouldn't be too surprised to see a 106 take the top spot.

if I remember well in Cargo's gearbox 3rd is too short and 4th is too long for that point and the optimum speed i was talking about, do i remember well? If so maybe you need to "widen" your 3rd make it a bit longer.

also try the following:
1. try moving some torque towards the front, have you tried 50:50 to see what happens?
2. try lowering ride height equally in increments of 5
3. try adjusting your lsd
4 try altering your back toe

Tip: try one thing at a time, or you might get a headache!

Well done:bowdown: Great time. Keep it going you will get into the 58's still plenty of time. Hope you make the top 100 and progress to be a fully fledged "P" Plater

Yeah here it is. I used your tune with Crank's changes as a base and worked a bit from there.

110/100
4.93/7.40
3/3
4/4
7/7
0.0/0.0
-0.20/-0.10

3/4

Gears are the same

30/40
21/50
9/5

50:50 split

I can probably still improve it, but I think my progress today was pretty good and I'll stop here for now.

Thank you very much for this tune doodlemonoply! I was able to reach a time 58.729 (only 1.343 secs behind the current world leader), which is a very good achievement for an average (or average+) driver like me.

It's very nice to have a possibility to test these top setups sometimes to find out your own pure speed compared to the top drivers or even the aliens. ;)

EDIT:
A small improvement to a time 58.603.

I didn't like this London track at first, but I must admit it has quite a nice flow after all (when you learn it).

Decided to go back to this one as the 205 is a fun car to drive and, having set a 1:01.4 with it in stock form, I felt I could improve. Using @GTP_CargoRatt tune I improved to a 1:00.3 and, with some tweaks to try and tighten it up a little, I am down to a 59.9. A 59.5 is possible as I have been 3 or 4 tenths up on my ghost and then lost it in the sweeping right at the back end of the circuit...I either go through it in control and lose time or go through it drifting and lose time, trying to find the right line is troublesome (could just be due to using a DS3 with auto and x/[]). Was in the Top 500 when I last checked yesterday evening which I am really happy with..will continue to tweak some more.

Has anyone tested if the RCZ is someting we can use? It's FWD so it should'nt be a serious competitor to the 205 turbo 16, but you never know...

I used a stock RCZ for fun and managed to get Silver.
I think it would be ok with a good tune tho not as quick and nimble as the 205 turbo.
I would like to give it a try with a good tune.

Going to switch on now and give it a go.

You could always upload it via a zip file like we do in the WRS. It won't be like a regular Youtube video, but anybody can download it once you upload it here and then they can watch it on their PS3.

Thanks for the setups doodle and crank!! Got me down to a 1:01.073. 1897th as of now. Not even close to being in your guys league- but it's atleast it's respectable. Thanks again!!

58.196 with a dizzycrankidoodle tune & Mitch's transmission. Lost a tenth on the final corner & time elsewhere so 57.9xx is possible.

This is surreal for an -almost 51 year old man with a controller: At 58.020, i'm 0.634 behind the alien on top. I'd say that's a close encounter of ...some kind!:D Thanks to my friend @Yokirama, Who's pushing me hard.👍

I'm using doodle's set up -which is based on Cargo's. But I can't get the Cargo-part right: I did everything -Down to the type of Wing mounts, but i can only get it to 191BHP!?? A clue perhaps: In order to get it to the prescribed 1059kgs, i had to add 10 kgs of ballast (pos 0) and i also had to set the power limiter to 90,9%....well, perhaps it's just one of those Things, anyway: Thank you both doodle and Cargo:cheers:

Did you install a flat floor? I don't know if the car can take one, but if it can, & you installed it, this could be the reason.

Nope; didn't! But thank you for the suggestion!

I would buy a new one and start over to see what happens but initially i'll need to know whether Cargo forgot to mention ballast!? If you apply all weight reductions, you'll get to 1049kgs -yet Cargo's state 1059...?

@Roweer1

Move ballast over + after +5 I think you will see you can get it to 192

That's it!!! Thank you @nowayback. ...Now it's just the small question of -even noticing it- and improving...:nervous:
