@Roweer1 I think 1059kg is a typo. It should be 1049 i remember because i had the same question when i saw it, and there was no ballast in the description.
But to be sure, Maybe @GTP_CargoRatt can tell us. also note that Cargo's HP is slightly different from BHP (that's if yours is BHP).
BTW Good time there!👍

Thank you yannagas!

Exactly: There was no ballst in the description! But if i remove the ballast, i'm back to Square one -or even one step back: i'll be at 190BHP -and perhaps it's not the same as Cargo's HP, but i will have to set my power limiter at 90,3% (as opposed to Cargo's 91)-so that can't be right...

Just saw this and checked my car settings. My weight is indeed 1059 with no ballast added, which is why there is no ballast in the description. These are the specs to the car:

HP 192
Weight 1059
Torque 196
Power to Weight 5.51

Hope this helps straighten things out. I haven't yet looked at the description in the tune that I made, these are coming from the car itself. I look and fix any discrepancies in the tune sheet if there are any.

Alright, just checked the tune I have listed to the one on the car and everything correctly matches. Not sure where the problem lies, but everything on my end is correct.

Well i just went in and bought a new one. It's 1145kgs stock, it's 1064 with stage 3, it's 1059 with bonnet and 1049 with Windows -so i think something isn't right in your description -with all due respect!

Yes, seems that my tune description included the Window Weight Reduction which in fact I did not use. :dunce: My apologies you guys, I'll try to be more careful next time. Thanks for pointing this out, I have now fixed it in my tune description. Again, my apologies and I stand corrected.

 @ GTP_CargoRatt mostly tune( and a little Doodle and me) , another great one ! Down to 58.810, bad last right hander(as most here have had I am sure) , too nervous. Will have to try w/o the extra 10 kgs. Had to give in and use the Peugeot turbo , enjoyed the 206 and 106 more...

It almost feels like cheating using Cargo's tunes all the time, very generous

No worries mate. With all you provide, there's bound to be a Little mistake now and then...👍

Thanks my friend and thanks for pointing out my mistake so I could correct it. Always pays to have someone looking over my shoulder , such as my daughter and girlfriend do in real life. (long story, don't ask.)

Haha, But i'm sure you'd say -like most of us- that the Family is looking over your shoulder, AIMING to point out your mistakes. I wasn't....:)

Back up to 2nd using a DS2 controller :D Damn it feels stiff. I think doodle was right about hitting the 2XX mark. definitely seems possible.

Keep on pushing! By the time I get home from vacation, GT Academy would've started so I think I'm done here. Best of luck to all.

Has anyone tested if the RCZ is someting we can use? It's FWD so it should'nt be a serious competitor to the 205 turbo 16, but you never know...
I knew I wasn't getting anywhere near the crew around here for times, picking the RCZ was more for having an enjoyable car to drive after the TT. It can gold, I did it. But as mentioned without the traction and grip of the AWD it's a tough nut to make those top times. The cup paint chip looks pretty darn nice on it too.

Yeah, well didn't we forget to learn the real lesson here: Should we -like Cargo- not install W.W. reduction? In theory wouldn't it be better to have dead weight at pos. 0? -Or at pos +5 for the extra HP? -Or should we take the full weight reduction and take whatever HP that provides? I know it's a marginal difference -to say the least- but i'm at the edge of my capability -and i want to do some more laps...:)

EDIT: I'll answer that myself: "Well try it out then!"

Yeah I did the full weight reduction and ended up at 190 HP. Personally I've found adding ballast to the rear helped with my lap times on most cars so might be worth a try (if I get time :D )

well reached my goal and broke 59 with 58.906 which is not bad for auto so if i stay in top 200 i will be happy :) did couple more laps improved a tad 58.879

I suspect that would make it an even more delicate matter to balance the car through the high speed section just after T1 which is where i think it's do or die with the lap. The tires are already squeeking there. I'm trying with the 10 kgs at +5 for 192BHP and i've been up on my ghost by 0.085 at T1 and also spot a possible tenth in the third to last corner. I'll try and nail it; i've already started Easter Holiday, so there's time..:P

Thanks for the kind words, really appreciate it. :embarrassed:

To the rest of you as well, I can't express enough what all your kind words and compliments mean to me. Really puts a smile on my face and makes me feel like I have a purpose here, really makes me feel like this is home for me, right here in this sub-forum. You know, if it wasn't for my burning desire to compete and be the best I can be, I could just come here and make tunes for you guys and be just as happy in helping you guys out here. Everytime someone comments and says that my tunes, or a part of, has helped them reach new heights or helped them improve, really makes me happy knowing that I had a small part in helping them reach their goals. I really feel at home here in the Seasonal TT forums and you guys are like family to me here. I wouldn't trade my time here with you guys for anything, it is truly an amazing place, and all of you are what makes it great.

Sorry to be off-topic, but too many times we get caught up in things here and forget the real reason why we are here...to enjoy the game, the friendly competition, and most of all, just to have fun. Sorry, but I just felt this was something that I needed to say, to let you guys know just how much I appreciate you all and love being friends with everyone here. Keep it real you guys as only you can. Peace, and as always, stay fast my friends.

Yes the car tends to rotate pretty well already so need a more understeery (is there such a word?) suspension, but I would be looking at 50kg+ to make some meaningful difference.

I run 56kg at -50. weight distribution this way is 48:50, which makes the car behave better, It also helps with front grip since i use a torque split of 50:50. I have clocked a 1:58.484 with it and have blown much better laps, so i know there's more time to be found.
In order to be able to move that extra weight efficiently, you'll also need more torque from the engine.
So try racing exhaust, isometric manifold and sports catalytic converter. Your red revs will go a bit higher too this way, and you will be able to get some extra headroom in your powerband. don't fear the power loss, it's purely a sentimental thing:), Torque gets the job done all right!
You can also lower final gear and make your gears wider. It helps with tracks like this, especially when you only have 5 of them.
Hope these little tricks help, you will be needing to fiddle around with other settings as well , but try these as is first and see what happens.

@GTP_CargoRatt I wish you all the best in going after your dream in the GT Academy, achieving such a goal takes a Rats determination, and you have it:tup:

To all my friends in this great community I will say have a Happy Easter, I will leave for a holiday trip this evening for around 10 days, so i wont be able to be around here... No net where I'm going! Not sure about electricity either:lol:
See you all in a few days, take care and have some fast laps for me!

PS. @iliasdc Nice time there Ilia! only .055 to break into the 57's:tup:

Hi everyone, I ran this TT yesterday in the RCZ '10 before realising the car of choice was the good ol' 205. I ran a 1:00.749 I think, good enough currently for about 1800th place which is good for me :) and I was just wondering what time others had achieved with the RCZ! I boosted the PP with a power increase, added the clutch and LSD (untuned) mods, with everything else stock. Oh and congrats to everyone up in the top 100 or so who have been commenting on this thread the last few pages, I salute y'all for being so talented :)

Haven't tried it -but that looks like a great time if that's all you've added.👍 Why Would you not install suspension and gearbox upgrades? Don't ask me for settings though; haven't got (much of) a clue.
Also i think for this track; try reducing weight rather than increasing power.
-And naturally: If you wanna go real fast, try the 205... -Good luck!

Normally with time trials I don't try too hard, only enough to get gold, but I enjoyed this one so I kept going for a bit  I am rubbish with gear ratios and I was 'in the groove' so I didn't think to change or tune anything! Thanks for your kind words and feedback :)

Finally improved ... not by much but im still happy even tho i know i can do better it really bugs me out sometimes ...
I ran a 0:58,409 really have no clue where you aliens get that 1 second from ... its crazy, much respect to you guys.
