I can't stand these city tracks. I can barely make out what is up ahead, so I have to try and memorize objects on the side of the track. It probably took me 15 attempts to get gold. It went: 12 crashes, Silver awarded, crash, Gold awarded.
I'm about two tenths from gold and as usual I can't keep up with your ghost-line.
And I'm using TC1, AT, and the suggested line, too!
But, yeah, I keep hitting the walls, too. Especially in the last sector. I also can't consistently find the ideal braking point on the first turn, oddly enough. Every time I think I've got it, my own line (or ALB's
) goes shooting past me and I'm 2-5 tenths slower than my best time.
Another god awful looking "car".
It looks like a typical, awful concept car to me. Something I guess only car designers can appreciate. Why they like this squashed look, I have no idea. I get that they don't have to worry about practical things like "visibility," but aesthetically, I really don't see it as an improvement.
I honestly can't say I hate the way it drives, though. I'll always take a bit too much understeer to too much oversteer. I know how the handle the former a lot better than the latter.
Boy...I'm so glad we get these Vision GT cars instead of...oh, I don't know...maybe the La Ferrari, McLaren P1, Lamborghini Huracan, Corvette Z06, Lamborghini Aventador SV. Heck, they could easily just put a little body kit on the current Aventador and type a couple different numbers into the car database for specs and voila! We have an Aventador SV.
I think the development of these Vision GT cars is paid for by the manufacturers as a form of advertising. Or maybe the manufacturers have to do the development legwork (e.g., modeling it for PD). I dunno. I mean, the "it's an advertisement" rationale technically applies to any current car.
But, yeah, I'd much rather have the cars you mentioned added to the game than all these Vision GT ones, if given the choice. Except the Chapparal. That weird thing is kinda cool. And the Subaru—I like the way that one drives.
