Photo Manipulation Contest: Week 3

Rules -

1. You will be provided with an image so it is easier for people to relate to while voting.
2. Manipulate the Image
3. This week's entries are due December 19, 2004 at 9:00PM Central Daylight Time, USA.
4. Post your final manipulated image here in this thread.
5. Your entry should be an image with the longest side no longer than 800 pixels. I am changing from thumbnails because I don't like having to resize somebody else's image for the poll. We could have people post their image as a thumbnail in this thread and have the longest side be 800 pixels so when I go to make the poll the image is small enough for the poll.

Again, this is NOT photoshopping cars!

I realize my entry is somewhat similar to Antihero's, but there is some difference. Sorry for the similarity, I had an idea to make it black and white when I picked the picture at the beginning of the week.

I can't figure out how to remove the white around the border. I had it transparent in photoshop, but it didn't stay that way.

You saved it into jpeg format, whic does not support transparancey. Save it into eityher guf or png (IE users will see a grey background) format. PNG offers better picture quality but large filesizes, while gif has poorer quality, but microscopic filesize...

A 255 color gif will have plenty of quality, especially in a grayscale image. You could always make a 511 color gif if you want the ultimate in quality.
