Welcome to Week 54 of the GT4 PhotoMode Competition​

"Big Brother's Shoes"

• Any production car with rims from a race car
• Wheels must be racing rims with a single center nut - do not use wheels with 4 or 5-stud pattern!
• Danger Orange will be especially pleased if you can use a racing rim from the same manufacturer as the chosen car (ie. M3 GTR rim on any road-going BMW) - example

• Any production (road) cars.

Locations

• Any track or PhotoTravel scene.

• This competition will run for one week.
• The approximate deadline is March 11th

• You must use only your own work that has not previously been entered in any competition.
• Only one entry may be submitted, mark it clearly as Final Entry.
• Use to host your entry and copy the 'Thumbnail for forums' code into your post.
• You may change your Final Entry once. If you do so, please edit your original entry make a new post linking to it. Minor updates to the same image are allowed.
• Do not ask other members to choose your final entry.
• Additional photos may only be posted in the form of either two honorable mentions in thumbnail form, or a single preview image that does not to exceed 400x300 pixels in size.
• Photoshop or other graphics programs may only be used to crop, resize, adjust brightness, contrast or gamma, rotate, add a border or small signature, or to remove the "Gran Turismo/©SCEI" watermark, if you so wish.
• If you don't have Photoshop or other professional image management software, try a shareware one such as IrfanView or GIMP.
• Photoshop or other graphics programs may NOT be used to change levels, hue, saturation, sharpen, apply filters or otherwise manipulate the image in any form.

is there a list that shows which rims belong to which race car?

The first two letters of each used wheel will refer to its manufacturer, eg BM = BMW, HO = Honda, etc., however there are some exceptions or instances where the prefix is shared.

The regular wheel manufacturers such as BBS & OZ etc also have racing rims in their line up.

The main thing to keep in mind when choosing a wheel for this theme is that you use a proper racing rim on the road car. The difference is that the racing wheels have a single center nut (quick to take on and off for pit stops), whereas road cars generally have four or five wheel nuts (sometimes six on SUVs and sports cars).

I'll try to pull out a few examples from the guide on that link.

ah yes, you are correct, there is always an exception to the rule! speedline has a good selection of genuine rally wheels if I recall.

And yep, those are Viper GTS-R rims, had to skip 53 days or somin stupid like that but I found em!!

The Viper GTS-R Concept is a road car, not a race car. Not trying to be pedantic yet this was an issue in an earlier competition.

the lm viper has many-thin-spoke-wheels (like BBS style)

those are single lug though
