I don't use still camera anymore
I take panorama shot to solve the camera angle problem
(first car using panorama, others using 1 shot or panorama if the car is too big)
but most important thing is ... pick a camera that is far away from the car

most of my recent creations using this method
the final photo shrink from ??? x 960 to ??? x 480
this way you can have higher quality image (I believe)
and you can enlarge the wheel size without losing the quality
I have done that to this picture (on FX45 and Range Stormer)

I don't get it ... do I have to Photoshop other cars in or is there a way to take pictures of multiple cars in the game?

The reason I'm asking is that each week's Photomode Competition explicitly states that Photoshop may NOT be used.

Do you race?

You can take multiple car photos in the game
but not all tracks are capable 6 cars, e.g. Rally tracks
look at my last post ... 6 cars in Swiss Alps, do you think it is possible?
however you can take photos with 1 car only in photo travel locations
like the last drifterxl photo ... he needed to use photoshop to add additional cars to the photo

Photoshop multiple cars allows you to place all the cars at desire position
there is no way you can ask all the AI cars to place where you wanted
so if you see a very good non-photoshop multiple car photos, it must be the person got lucky with the AI cars
In those weekly photomode comp, people try to race with the AI, but its not easy to find an AI with a specific car they wanted. Sometimes they have to try different difficulty setting to get the right AI car. Then they have to race closely to the desire AI car(s) to get some good shots with couple cars together. That's how they were made.

Hope this help!

Drifterxl > Nice one ... like the soft focus effect
dmanbluesfreak from other forum made this
and yeah ... he photoshopped 3 other cars (EG Civic, EP Civic and DC5) into Spoon edition

OK, makes sense, thank you. So if (hypothetically) I want to take a shot of a group of LMPs, I'd go into World Circuits and choose my track (say Suzuka). If PhotoDrive allows for one-car shots, where do I go to get multiple shots? Free Run? Family Cup?

your best bet is to go to arcade mode -> single race
and use one of your favorite LMP (you have to unlock it first)
then you enter Suzuka circuit and choose the difficulty level
different level got different AI field
so if you don't like the AI field, redo above with different difficulty level
usually you need to go up 3 levels to get different field

save replay after you are done the race
and load that replay in replay theatre (in GT Mode or from Main Menu)
you should know the rest by then

Sometimes you wanna do it in GT Mode if you want customization on your car
like adding GT wing, aftermarket rims, lower the car, etc
but for LMP cars and most race cars, you cannot customize them
so using arcade mode for these car will be good enough
when you wanna do it in GT mode, choose family cup after you select the track
the process after this point will be identical to arcade mode

Make sense now? :)

great job freddy! look like they are having a tuner party or something
nice job on the CF hood ... keep them coming!

Alright these are my latest (muscle oriented) multiple car pics .. enjoy ~

thanks drifterxl ... I agree the third is insane ...
probably the coolest photo I have worked on
BTW ... do you feel like they are doing drag racing at Miami beach road?

very much so
with the exotic location

the only thing
is the "autodromo di .." sign on the right

btw is that chrome paint on the ss

Here's my three Nismo Skylines. That's my first multiple car photo so the cars aren't too amazingly put on the track but it's worth showing. I'm currently working on a six car picture. It's gonna be better than this.

SkylineGoes > not bad for the first time ... keep it up

drifterxl > I didn't mod the car ... I only added a few "white spot" to make it look shiny ... that's all

Thanks Franz! It does look like their having a party id wish i was there. LOL
And man those r some tight pics u just posted, specially the 3rd 1. that shiet looks TIGHT.
Il try to post some more soon.

Great found ... I didn't spend much time looking at those tutorials
sounds like a simple but great technique
actually the body paint was completely original
I have no idea why it is so shiny

another burnout photo .. sorry no multiple cars

SkylineGoes > not bad for the first time ... keep it up
Thanks franz! It means a lot to me.
And here's the six car pic I told you guys about earlier:

I think that one's pretty good. And I did this one with my two best cars of the moment:

And the same cars with the 350Z being turned around:

very clean ... good job
let me give you some suggestion
try to turn up the brightness and contrast
to get people's attention, try to take pictures at unqiue location
like Freddy S first one (post #288), he got some creativity going
good luck with your next photos
