Well, I am a rookie ......

The exhaust pipe on the CRX is too fake. But I like the Arnage 👍

By the way, how do you all erase the traces of lowering the car? By this I mean the duplicate image of the car you get when you cut it with the Magnetic Lasso, then paste it and move it downwards. Where the original body used to be, and the new lowered body is, it overlaps. I've managed to solve this by using clone stamp from the original image and then applying it right on the edge to mask out the duplicate, but it does not work all the time (such as when the background does not follow a specific pattern).

I will post an image if needed. Thanks.

exactly. And in 20 minutes no less.

In an hour and a half I could do a much better job.

But that was meant as a joke anyway...

hey GT_4, you've got the right idea for lowering the car but there is one thing that you need to do differently. Instead of copy and pasting only the car itself you should C/P the bottom of the car, not including the wheels, and include everything above that in the selection. Check out the pic, the red line is where you should make your selection, after this selection jus C/P it and lower the second layer. This eliminates the "old" car showing through.

So if I'm understand it correctly, I do the following:

1. Select the car and the pavement like in the picture with magnetic lasso or polygonal lasso.
2. Then move the selected part downwards.

But wouldn't that make the top half of the picture odd because you're moving the top part of the picture downwards, therefore creating a duplicate of a little strip at the top?

Thanks for the help though, S_E.

No, you select everything BUT the wheels and the pavement, and you copy the selection into its new layer, then ease it down.

yea, i should have stated that a little clearer. Basically like Mat said, select everything EXCEPT the pavement and wheels, then paste this into a new layer. As for the slit at the top that problem is solved with a simple crop, or if the picture has a blue sky backround it wouldnt be visible. It all depends on the picture but i usually use the crop tool.

heres a few tutorials. They may explain it a little clearer.

You're welcome. Well, you people (MattheTuner, Edwin) have put me out of the business with you're increasing skill. As in, Matt's pics no longer look like crap and are bordering on realistic, and Edwin's are becoming more than just wheel swaps. Especially with my absence of GIMP, Photoshop, and worst of all, LimeWire :(.
