And trico pro you are in the wrong section, toons not chops.

Toons not chops? huh? what are you even saying? Are you saying my stuff is chops and yours are toons? Im not in the wrong forum, i've been posting my designs and renders in this thread a couple months back already...it's "photoshopped" cars.. This is a photoshopped car...:sly:

very good point 👍

Jesus christ, there is a thread for TOONS, you do toons not chops. If they are toons please post them there, if they are chops then post the chops here. I get annoyed when people post such garbage as you did on the last page saying that you see how everyone can improve and all this kind of crap. I think everyone here does a fine job at chops so i don't like when people semi trash talk about my mates work is all, but technically the art you post are toons so there is a section for that. A chop is when you PS an actual image, not make one from scratch, that is a cartoon. Or did i misunderstand your statement completely?

Technically it doesn't go either place. Toons are based off real existing cars too, what Trico did is a Rendering and it's from his imagination most likely.

my entry for one of the battles at psc, im currently losing however :grumpy: . I like the overall look of the final product, im very pleased. Please tell me what you think!

Looks good to me, what are you losing to with this? You even did the reflections correctly.

This took me about 2hours.. just kind of a boredom/comp chop for a UCP comp that was lacking entries.

edit - technically - if it is done in Photoshop or other RASTER-based program; it is a Photoshop  if it is done in a VECTOR-based program such as Illustrator or Flash, its a toon. His was pure imagination, and is a PHOTOSHOP render. Therefore - a photoshop :D lets stop this stupid argument now plz.

edit 2 - To answer the question as to what he's "losing" to -- its this one CLICK-- undeserved IMO - that artist didnt do much.

But sadly, thats how it works. Nobody really looks at how much time, effort, and skill went into a photo, just whatever photo catches the eye.

Thats what makes me a bit mad sometimes. I guarantee if i showed my friends the picture of the cadillac or some of the heavily edited pictures in my gt4 gallery, all they would say is "ooh thats cool" and think nothing more of it. They have no idea about the 4 or more hours, along with the imagination and creativity it took me to make said photo.

I was going to post my Volvo S80 project that I have been doing recently but you guys are just too good compared to mine....

Your right :)

Post it anyway!
Let other people see, and maybe advise on improving.
Some of your other work that I've seen is damn good!

Take a look at some of mine in this thread and The Chop Shop.
I've been doing it for less than two weeks, but I still have a go.

Yeah post it, even if it not too good :)

Done it!
I know this will not appear too good as it is a side view but I am also doing a different angle as well (as it is a project car). The list of my modification's are pretty obvious, but I will do anyway.

Audi RS4 Wheels
Audi S3 Front Bumper
Paint Job
Window Tint
BMW Z3 Vents
Specially Made Side Vent
Shaved Door Handle x 2
Monochrome light
Removed rear door
Removed Shark Fin

I like it. Well, all but the colour. But then each to thier own.

As a whole, pretty cool!

The rims look awesome and the vents are great, especially the door vent.

It would be interesting to see the Audi front end from a different angle.

👍

speedster, i think the car looks pretty decent. Never be ashamed to post an image here, a good 99% of us fan boys aren't going to say anything negative about it. We might give you tips but never in a downing way. The color is a bit too saturated so it kind of has a unrealistic look to it. The rear vents look good but the door vent has zero depth of field so it just looks like a black stripe on the door. You can fade out away from the vent with gradients and make it look pretty realistic. Rims swap looks good too. Keep up the good work mate! If you need any help with any parts of chopping just ask and someone will help you out.

Thanks! At the moment the Audi front end is struggling to fit on.....

Thanks! The door vent was the first one I have ever done so I wasn't quite sure what to do with it to make it look more realistic. So I decided to post it how it was and get a suggestion on how to improve it from one of you guys. Rim swaps have been my speciality since I started as I found them the easiest.

Thanks again! And I probably will be stuck pretty darn soon as this front end will not fit and I can't find a better angle. :)

suzq044 does some of the finest work in this thread IMO.

I don't even have GIMP on this computer so I'm stuck with paint. :(
