Muzaffar you n00b.

And l724 you killed my favourite car. I'm gonna make a new chopping law, if anyone chops a GTI and wrecks it I have the right to kill them :)

Leon, you don't know anything about n00b, so stfu. :)

But this I got to say, is the stupidest chop i've ever done! :dopey:

^ That's a pertty cool job, almost flawless. You could fill the clear spot between the back of the rear wheel and the bumper wit black, would look better than than weird shaped hole. Also same thing on the front.
And you forgot to finish on the upper part of the door, where you stitched.
And get a proper shadow for that babycar! :)👍

Its better than just now, but there are a few things you still messed up
  • the cf hood is all wrong!
  • the rims looks too dark (or to saturated?)
  • the plate, I mean WTMF?
  • the reflection, just like Leon, you FAIL! (with a capital F!)
I agree with what you've pointed out.
CF hood started going downhill when the cutout job was apparently rushed. Also, someone forgot to change opacity and blending style.
The rims seem to be a bit over-contrasted, and the tires are blue (!), and the tire cutout makes them all funny-shaped. Also, the front tire doesn't have a slight bit of reflection, giving away the paste job in about 0.01secs.
The plate looks awesome! Well, not really. In so many ways.
Red paint reflecting out of a pink car is VW's greatest achievement ever.
Pink headlights?...

Color change (although I don't like pink on cars) is decently done, as all reflections remained intact and it doesn't look fake.

 Yeah, I did mine in a rush actually....Wait no, I started doing at 5:40. Then I simply got fed up doing the car and just post it anyways..... Meh, not my car type anyways. I'm more into exotics and sports car.... :P

Thats pretty much is. As for V1P3R, yo! Stop commenting on people and chop something! I will call you a n00ber if you don't! Hell, even your avatar is all wrong.

I dont get how the hood can be wrong after following a tut all the way...maybe i needed to lower opacity more? It was lowered but maybe needs more.

I just directly took the rims off of another car so ill take them off and leave it as it is.

The plate lol...i found a plate designer and put it on lol. The plate actually has vw symbols in the background.

I dont know how to do the reflection...and not to mention i forgot about it completely.

Ill post a fixed version soon.

Lol i knew you would say something like that...thats why i made it pink, just to scare you:sly:

I don't understand what you mean about the hood.

If you mean the opacity and blending for the hood...i did do it.

Understand the rims.

The plate and lights look good or bad?

The plate and lights look... not very doog actually.
The plate you got there isn't nowhere near as looking realistic.

As Jack The Ripper would say, "let's take it in parts":
The front of the car is in a shaded area, meaning the plate should be darker to fit.
The car is in perspective, yet the plate is perfectly straight.
The plate on the original car follows the contour of that plastic thing; yours is just pasted more or less where the other plate was.
The lettering on the plate (apart the perspective thing) isn't centered and the last letter actually goes out of the plate itself.

Lights don't look good because they don't look good. to me, that is.
If they were 'on', I could understand the pink in them (sort of), but like that it just makes them look strange.

Now, about the CF hood.
Like I said, it started going bad right from the start, as the hood selection is very lose and doesn't follow the lines precisely, you have bits of pink showing up everywhere, where there should only be CF.
Then, how do you say it's slightly transparent and you changed the blending mode if all I see when I look at the hood is a solid lifeless piece of CF? None of the hood's highlights/shadows are showing through, which means blending mode wasn't changed.
I usually go to either 'multiply' or 'soft light', depends on the car.

Let me give you an quick example.

This is your CF hood.

Here's one I did just now. (yeah, that's my car).

See the difference?

Btw, what tutorial were you following? Post the link if you can.
I can give you a few that show how to get it done in a more realistic way.

And also, don't go for the bright colour paint, it just looks well...awful. It makes the bits you've done wrong stand out more, eg. rims and tyres.

I though it was Easter everywhere...

I'll take a look at the tutorial and get back to you. 👍

OMG, you're right!

*looks around*

How the hell did I get here? :scared:

Anyway, I took a look at that tutorial and it basically skips the part where you blend the layers correctly. It says to 'Merge Down' and that's it.

Also, if you haven't seen other tutorials on how to apply CF in Photoshop and that was your only guide, it also leaves a lot to be desired in terms of values, as in many stages it just says to 'play a bit with X' or 'adjust Y to your liking'...

Try this one, see what you think of it.

Select the Carbon Bonnet tutorial.
It's the 6th below where it says Car Tutorials.

I've been to both those links before but not for this purpose so i'll take a stroll around those sites when i can be stuffed to do so.

Wow, look at all these familiar people....what have i missed out on? 2 things you have in your chops that i like suzq, the first is the monster wagon ( i only do the assault though) and the USPS. You say why USPS, well my wife is a letter carrier and makes pretty good money doing it (thanks for everyone that pays the high stamp prices!) and i have a good chance of starting a career for the USPS as a service mechanic. I didn't want to go back into doing mechanic work but its just service work so it will be so easy, and it pays pretty well too. Im going to have to breakout CS3 and do a little. The last thing i was going was the hummer deal, got half way through it and ran into hard times and had to shut down my internet connection to save money so i never got it finished to post it. I would finish it and post it if anyone cared to see it. Its not great, had a hard time with that "DUB" theme...im more of a race style chopper. Anyways, good to be back. A few people have got allot better, my little Golf loving mate from around the world especially.

Who me lol? Ive been looking everywhere for ya, where you been? Hope everythings been alrite 👍 I couldn't give up the net for my life.

Well i didn't want to give up my connection but when you have 3 kids sometimes you have to sacrifice some things every now and then.

Christ, that Hummer competition was ages ago.

Good to see you back.

That Scion is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen. I'm amazed that you could actually make it look halfway decent suzq.

How come theres no psc weekleys anymore ??

Thats what i was wondering when i got back on, the last psc didn't even get judged and i think i did pretty good in it. The one with the impala chop, that was only like the 2nd car i had ever chopped. First one was the VW that is up the page somewhere with the HUGE rear wheel that is sticking out sideways. I liked doing the psc's cause it was something different every time and it sort of forces you to get better because it is something different than what you would do some of the time.

Actually...i wanted to become a part of the psc when i came back to gtp but they don't happen anymore=[

EDIT:HOLY 🤬, when did i become a senior member?

I stopped administrating the PSC Weekly Competitions due to a lack of time on my part, as I had very little free time for a number of months, there.

Now that I'm finding a little more time (My daily/weekly schedule has changed significantly), I'd consider starting it up again.
Though not on a weekly basis. Bi-Weekly at best.

Ah okay,Bi weekly is every two weeks right ?

Well I have got holidays...I can try and continue with the Chop Shop comps...I'll let everyone else decide. If anyone would like it, just post here. I already know that l724 wants it, and I'm all in too.
