w00t you woned. đź‘Ť

Yay, she windedid!
Some people really didn't like yours suz, i remember reading one comment saying something like, just doing a door and putting on usps stickers is a redoo? Arse, the color change alone was not an easy go, i say good work:tup:

breakpoint I just want to ask you incase...you just sent me a PM about myspace. Is that a virus which you have or is that serious or an April Fools day joke? The PM didn't come the way you write...sounded like someone else. Please reply.

By all means take these words as help. Here are the major problems i noticed with your chop. I put arrows to the places to look. Lets start at the front. You really need to clean up the areas where you covered things like part of the headlights, its very blurry and smudged. Also the same goes for the fender at the wheel lip there and the emblem is completely blurred from it. The wing isn't touching the car at the bottom there and the color is off pretty bad. Also when you do a wing you need brush in the wing in the rear window too. The wing as it is just stops after the pillar because you can't see it in the rear window going across the rest of the way. These are just he few that i spotted while glancing at it, there might be more areas you need to work on, there might not be. You need to goto a site like digimods and go through the tutorial section and just do them as they say and then after you see how it all works out you can change it and do it your own way. Nobody does stuff the same, in photoshop there are a hundred ways to do things to get the same result.đź‘Ť You also might want to post at least a link to the original image so people could help you for one, and so we can see what exactly has been changed in certain cases. Some its obvious, but sometimes you can't tell on things.

^ Great advices right there, and I completely agree with what you pointed out on the chop.
Also, on the pasted little bits covering part of the headlights, the hood line got hidden (so easy to fix), and the 1st giveaway to them wasn't even that to me; it was the fac that they have no volume, a shading line (or a bit of dodging, depending where light is coming from) really helps to make it feel solid and more part of the car.

EDIT: Did it have foglights on the original? It appears they were removed, especially on the left. At least that area is a bit blurry.

mine is 8.5 x 6.3" bamboo fun, silver

Wacom Tablets are undefeatable, Intuos 3 to be exact.

Tablet PCs such as the Cintiq are mighty expensive, comes in 20"

Some great advice there BP đź‘Ť Also Glanza, don't do the names of these cars, eg with this you named it a Veilside Celica. It makes your chop look noobish if it isn't executed properly. Maybe lay off it until you've perfected it ;)

I know there is a thread for selling items but this thread just seems like it would be better to ask in. I have a Manhattan graphics tablet that i bought about a year ago and have only used it twice. I just don't care for a tablet, i thought i would like it and....i don't. So, i was going to put it on ebay but figured i would ask you guys/gals first before i did. Here is some pictures of it with a tape measure so you can see its size and all. I think i paid somewhere around 80 bucks for it but can't remember so do a little looking on some sites for the price. Taking offers for it, also only accept paypal. Was looking at listing it on ebay starting at 30 bucks. Also i cannot ship outside of the USA, sorry. I just sold a window motor from my altima to someone on the altima boards that lives in canada and the shipping fee's were crazy! 25.00 bucks just to ship something there that only weighed about 1-2lbs. It has to be expressed mailed when leaving the country and its just too expensive for someone to get a deal. If anyone is interested or has any questions PM me:tup:

I think you better move this post to the Trading Post forum. You could get pinged for advertising. Just telling you for your own good ;)

Glanza-V: Hey, I remember doing a chop with that car a long time ago! :dopey: It still looks better than yours though.... (although not complete and I deleted the file a long time ago....) Just take breakpoint and
Beerzy's advice and learn how to chop properly. đź‘Ť
Stubborn little bastard.....

Well this is my first chop, so i hope i do get good comments and improve my PS skills.... :( :nervous:

(well it looks ugly now, haven't entirely finish the chop yet......)

I also have a question, does anyone know how to paint the car white? I asked turbo lag already, he said suzq044 should know how to do it so i'm hoping i would get a reply from this.....

Wow Muzzy...

That's really... hmmm... disturbing.

Here, I pointed out (in green colour) some of the flaws you did with this back then:

See? All the rest is just fine. :D

 I'm laughing out so damn loud, I can't even catch my breath!
Didn't you even read?

Do you see it now old man!? :P Yeah, I know what mistakes I've had done, but you know, I lost interest and never bother to finish the chop or even adjust the bodywork/colors. Its only about 15% done at that time (and the obviously bad part was I didn't even know where to get my parts from at that time )

Well the reason i put it here is because this thread has all the main people that would use this. Also i was just seeing if anyone in this thread wanted it, if not im putting it on ebay. If a mod doesn't like it being here they can just delete the post, its not that big a deal:) Its not like im advertising my store by spamming the board.

But you may get a warning. (1 strike) Turbo has a good point there. đź‘Ť

Anyway, I'm good with tablets; just bought a Wacom Bamboo Fun (medium - I think - or at least it's not the small one) recently, and I'm loving it, although still getting used to it, as I had never used one before.
But for burning, dodging and selections, it's already proving to be really cool and fun to use. đź‘Ť

Ok, ok....so how do i move the post i made originally asking if anyone wanted the tablet?

I believe your best bet it copying it and creating a new thread on the correct forum with it.
Then editing that one above to something else, as long as it isn't porn. :P

You can't move posts, only threads you created. And even so, I don't know if it allows for the thread to be moved anytime or just until someone else posts in it. Or something else...

Yeah, it sucks. Something to do with the UPA, PAU... UPS... something like that.

:)

Muzaffar Musa: dont know if anyone has answered your question yet but i think you select the entire car and then hold alt and remove the windws and badges etc from the selection and then desaturate and make white with the colour balance. I've never made a car white so i don't know if thats how you do it.

Well I have tried many things as well, but doing that would just make the car look unreal.... I was looking for a way to make the car white but with the reflection still intact (which is hard to do with a color balance) The best option was to make a new layer and fill it in white, overlay/screen/multiply and lower the opacity of the color to something about 40-50%. Then just erase the parts which you don't want it white.

However, the most easiest way to get a car white is..... find a car that is WHITE!!!!! :D

That works ok but as you see the result, the car isn't white...more of a flat white. You can try the way i do it and see if you like the results. I am always happy with them. Of course like everything in PS there are a ton of different ways to do things. None are the "right way", there are just different ways.

First make a mask of all the areas of the car that you want to re-color (im not walking you through mask making if you don't know how to do that look up a tutorial), now that you have the mask create a solid color adjustment layer and pick the color you want to change the car to.

Before you jump off and run with it go ahead and look at the car and make sure you didn't miss any parts and such, its always a pain when you do and don't notice it. Now that your ready just go through the different layer modes and see which one works the best with your image. You will never use the same blend mode on all cars because the lighting and all will be different on every image. A good bit of the time overlay will work to my pref but its always too light, if thats the case just duplicate the layer and play with the opacity. At this point all the above will work for color, to switch everything to work for a white car do this.

Change the color on your Adjustment Layer to Black, then set the color mode to Color. This will desaturate the image. If you like the overall look but think it could look a little better you can try adjusting the curves before you do this next bit. If it still doesn't look white enough or it has a grey hue to it duplicate the adjustment layer, set the color to white, and change the Mode to Soft Light. And now just adjust the opacity until you like the way it looks and your done, nice white and bright:tup:

Also to tweak it and make it look even more realistic go around with the dodge and burn tool to add highlights and shadowing. Just keep it on a very low opacity and work slow, its allot easier to not rush on those tools. In the famous words of Tim and Eric......great job!

i personally don't chop cars but that would've been something i've done. I don't play too much with filters, and adjustments as i'm not as focused in photography or graphic arts as i am in creating work right off the canvas, drawings, paintings sketchs, etc.
