Photoshopped cars.

It's not a Photoshopped car but it is a car made on Photoshop. Ferrari 275 GTB/4, my favourite car of all time, alongside the 288 GTO. A bit of a WIP, about two and a half hours work so far. Not finished yet, obviously there are no wheels (which I am dreading) and I need to do a few more details, etc.

Project: PJ -- 1966 C10 Panel Truck; this rendering I did for fun - I wanted to see what our panel truck would look like in one color. So, I kept the body-damage on there; including the multiple drill holes for various mirrors over the years & the holes for the ladder rack that was there @ some point. The only part I cheated on was the wheels.. lol

This was "drawn" in Photoshop CS5; Using only black & white for shading; as I have not colored it yet. Took about 10 hours to do.

.. Now to figure out what kinda paintjob to give him.. :D

I haven't done a car rendering in over 2 years....

I had some Stingray design, which would be my latest one, but I haven't uploaded that to the internet. The next one up would probably be this I did about almost 3 years ago.

seems the shadowis a bit strong; and the car seems to be leaning to the right despite being on a flat surface?

Granted; i suck @ rendering free-hand like that^

Made these awhile ago. Fun times it was, heh :)

Probably my best and most complex chop. Whole body was brushed with no reference.

Both look false as heck, altough I know you choppin' people not even try anymore for your chops to look real, but to show off your mad-tyte brushing skills. I wish I could brush reflections that looked like that into my chops.

lol @ mad-tyte brushing skillz. nah; just working to get it realistic. It's harder than it looks, and you know it cano :P

wow Claus, you absolutely outdid yourself with this one, it might be your best yet. I like the small details like how the wave of the CF changes troughout the hood and in the air inlets, the reflection of the lights are SPOT ON, very very VERY good.

I'd have one lousy little comment on it: given the ammount of light, and above all, the kind of light that is in the background (neon), the orange wouldn't look SO saturated. Trust me. If you toned down the color a bit so it wouldn't be as vibrant, it would fool me into thinking it could be a real picture. Otherwise, everything else is amazing. You've gome a long damned way, man. Congratulations.

Thanks mate. About the lighting, you're right. When I posted it originally, it had a less saturated orange colour, but I had a few comments on forums that said the paint looked "faded". So I added a bit more saturation, but perhaps I should have darkened the paint instead to get a more realistic outcome. Thanks anyway 👍

I'll +1 to what Cano said about the saturation, if you're going to make something look realistic, saturation is never that high... basically, if you can't see it happening in an unedited photo, you shouldn't see it in your final result. You don't need to darken the paint, you just need to tone down the vibrance of the paint colour.

Wow. This thread is pretty awesome!

If I may ask, can anyone photoshop a BMW E24, into these two colors.

Metallic dark burgundy.
Metallic dark green gold.

With black rims.

I really want to see them on a E24 because I own one, and I'm torned between those colors.

Didn't use photoshop but used GIMP instead, this is my first ever attempts at making edits.

This ones me.

And here is one I did for a mate of mine.

What do you think??

What were you trying to achieve with it?

Just to make some cool looking edits of me and my mates racing. I havent tried messing with the actual image yet, just doing backround effects and text.

I didn't know what I was really aiming for because this was the first time I used an image editing software. So I'm open to idea's, (but please make them relatively basic).

I can give you an assignment if I could see the original photo... I am also hoping the original isn't exactly what your avatar is.

I wouldn't bother with the other persons pic as it was a really low quality.

Okay I just got a cool idea; take that profile view, and then line it up with touring cars or something and make it look like you're keeping up with race cars

Thing you should know that'll make you that make better at cutting stuff out is using the Pen tool (using Paths), and making selections with a feathering of 0.2 pixels.
