I never knew that stuff came in bottles that big. I've only ever bought cans. And also whatever sort of filter thing or doobry you used for that picture makes you look old. No, not old, older.

Me and the kids at, obviously, Mount Rushmore this past Tuesday. My wife was behind the camera.

Mount Rushmore looks smaller than I imagined but pretty amazing never the less.

It only looks small because I'm huge. Err... :embarrassed:

Their noses are 20 feet tall, their entire face is 60.

Does that help any? :)

The magic of focal length.

A demonstration of what I mean:

They are around 6 and a half stories high then... Pretty big but I thought they were way bigger. Maybe two times the size they really are!

I actually think it looks huge. It's just really far off in the distance.

Probably got to do with most pictures I have seen are much closer/zoomed like the you just posted.

Yes good point.

I would also like to visit it some day, that and Yellowstone national park, I've been to so many other American landmarks.

I wish you can climb into their noses & ears like what Courage did :P

Whatever that's supposed to be demonstrating, I'm not seeing it. Care to explain, please?

I believe the idea is that you'll get a differently composed picture from standing far back and using 200mm of Canon's finest than you would from using nature's zoom lens - your feet - and getting closer to the object that way.

Just so it stops freaking me out...

Subject is the same size in both shots (roughly), but the composition is waaaay different. And junk. Do people still say junk?
