Shot my first major event on Friday, being the schools prom and I encountered the same thing as you Azuremen. Just not half as good outcome.

60D + 50 f/1.4? Try balancing the exposure to the flash a bit. I my shot, I've got it at 1/13th second, f/4, and ISO-3200 with the flash bouncing off the ceiling. A piece of paper works wonders for softening a built in flash as well.

Recently changed my Facebook profile picture. I like it. I don't care if anyone recognizes me.

60D, 1/160, ƒ/1.8, ISO 500 at 50mm for that one. Next time I do a shoot like that will be either borrowing a flash gun or using some paper as you mentioned as I did struggle a bit with getting the exposures right with the flash. I can't get my ISO to go as high as you mentioned without it becoming too blurry to use.

Danny, why does it look like you're outside an Icelandic bar?

Me being a big kid a while nobody was looking at a zoo a few months ago.

I was mortified. One of us had to change and he was stronger than me. Presumably. I have the raw force of an electric whisk.

Wut?! That's not rude, it's a perfectly innocent question like - If he had jumped on your back, would you have beaten him off?
