1. These are grippy socks, not shoes.
2. Blame Obama for looking like me in summer.
3. Got to protect myself from steal-printing.
4. Actually easy considering I was born in Kazakhstan.

This is technically a picture of myself, and I hope it counts.

Me way back in '08 playing with what turned into my old band that lasted a few years. I don't remember what we were playing at that particular moment but it was either The Trooper by Iron Maiden, Learn to Fly by Foo Fighters or something we wrote. Me thinks Foo Fighters. I was just starting to grow my hair out.

I wasn't even really into cars that much back then. About 2 years before was when I really got into Mustangs, and then I lost all interest until I was about 16.

Awesome pic. Even more awesome that you were in a band playing guitar. Its one thing to play, but to physically get in front of a crowd and play, that takes serious courage. 👍

For whatever reason, that never really bothered me.

hsv
I have to say, you look pretty relaxed.
I think I was

I have a few more of that concert somewhere.

I used to give speeches for the school a lot when I was younger so I was used to getting up in front of a ton of people at that point. And being in the early stages of forming a band I needed to get even more comfortable. That band lasted probably 3-4 years after that, but had a ton of lineup changes.

I sometimes wish I was in a rock band, but I've got enough on my hands with my Wind Quintet and String Trio.

I wish I was back in one honestly. But it's a lot of time and effort. I've been told I am very good but I don't really believe it.

Secretly, you think you are, and you're just being modest.
No, not really  I really think I'm not good, there's so much I have to improve on

I appreciate the compliments from anyone who has heard my play though. Quite a few GTP members have.

Do you know someone, that you think plays really well? That could be where it comes from. Maybe, you're thinking, compared to that person you're far less experienced.

I was that way with my bass. One of my best friends also played, and I always thought he was better. More often than not making me modest and thinking I'm not that good. Until I was like "To hell with it, I'm good too!" haha

Most of the guys I know that play say that I absolutely shred, I just don't make it as well known that I play anymore like I used to. It's more of, "I'm probably decent when compared to most people, good to someone who doesn't know how to play, and horrendous to a professional". I'm just really modest about everything. I don't ever accept that I might be good at something. People tell me all the time that I am a hell of a mechanic but I don't believe it.

And to not derail the thread.

Me and my nephew, I'm the one on the left.

Dont mind the stupid Tattoo, I got that at around 14-15, and I thought it was sooooooo cool. Lesson I learned was dont just look up random images on the internet when you find out your older brother has a Tattoo Gun. Also, dont listen to older brothers.

For an infant your vocabulary and proclivity with computers is excellent...
