Very old photo - taken long before I started with my weight lifting hobby ;)

This past weekend my wife and I were in a wedding out in Malibu, I had forgotten how baller a white tux can be.

We also had a BMW Z4 as a rental while we were out there, needless to say my super receded hairline got burnt to a crisp in the 125 degree weather.

Had a great day yesterday. The weather was nice and I got to hang
out with my stone people friends. They don't say much but they're good people.
I rode my bike for a while afterwards around the countryside outside
the city before picking up my sister. : )

I'm not a retired professional race car driver, I don't have 64 Hondas
and I'm not a millionaire (yet) but I did have a can of beans with me
to prove that Jocke is Jocke.

This is me on the left in the hat with Dan Woods, host of the TV show Chop Cut Rebuild, on the right. I'm part of a two month long program at one of the local tech schools where we learn some stuff about working on cars and get a little preview of what to expect should we enroll in the school. Dan had his TV crew there for a night for filming for an upcoming episode, so I might be in that episode.

Another year at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, another picture with another driver. This time I'm next to Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Angelle Sampey- a 3 time champion in the class. She holds the distinction of holding the record for most poles in class, the second most wins in class, and is considered to be the winningest female in all professional motorsports. She ended a 9 year winless streak earlier this year after retiring and recently coming out of retirement. It was an honor to stand next to a living legend, and this picture was taken pre-raccoon face via sunburn.

I bet it was. She's an awesome lady and I've watched a lot of interviews
and track stuff of hers through the years as my dad has been
interested in NHRA since the 70s/80s and some of that rubbed off on me too.
I met Dick LaHaie once and he signed a photo for me : )
