Well last night ended in the twilight, zone with @coltsjugg taking the win me and old bear drag racing for 2nd place with him coming out on top. Thanks @barryf1fan for helping me Re open the league. Last season was really fun looking forward to the new year hopefully I'll see some of you guys on Sunday enjoy your Christmas evryone

The McLaren F1 GTR provided some good close race battles and at some of the worlds most famous venues, thanks Stance for the competitive combo of car and tracks. Looking forward to what's next. 👍

Looking at how it "seemed" everyone enjoyed the 60 minute, single race format - PITs may switch to that from now on. Would like to start another enduro series as well, maybe a GTE, GT4, GT3, or LMP1/2 car... something that we can run in the new year every 5th week for a 90 minute race. We'll see what forms.
Hope everyone has a safe and fun Christmas and Holiday time with their family and friends - and remember, if you don't spike the eggnog, who will?!?!

Tbh it. Might end up being lmp something I've been wanting to run that class for a really long time but we have a 2 weeks ill be testing cars. Lmp will deff be our 5 week series.Congratulations to @Stanc03 - Season 16 PITs 2 Series Champion

I also like the new race format I honestly don't like being online until almost 11 lol I know some of us work all day..

Also, now would be a good time to throw out suggestions or changes that you want to see in PITs league...
For instance, @HazardLvL4 , @Alex ONeill , and @Stanc03
I was thinking of suggesting a different points scoring system... more of a graduated scoring, 25, 22, 20, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, etc...
And since we are looking at only doing a 1-hour race, do a 6 week series with two drops (or a 5 week'er with one), that way if you need to miss it's okay because you have your drop(s). Anyway, something to think about.

That was one helluva finish. I logged back in to spectate. First thing that got my attention was Lucky dropping way back after leading the pack for so long. Poor ting. What happened to Lucky?
The highlight was watching Colts and you towards the end for that dramatic finish and then Bear right up there too.
For me, I was enjoying the run until my bloody console or wheel issue effectively taking me out of the game.
First thing happened was while in lobby in the pits during the countdown to race start, all of a sudden the pit screen switched to the "Invites" screen without me doing so. And then when I tried to press the back button there was either no response or when I did get to the Ready screen to click on "Ready" it switched back to the "Invites" screen....back and forth. Eventually when it switched back to the Ready screen I hurriedly was able to click on "Ready" just before race start.
I was then able to race until sometime during the race until all of a sudden I no longer had any control whatsoever driving...no control of the car. It just drove itself right into a wall. And no response of the wheel buttons afterwards either. I also noticed the console's fan was roaring at a rate. It even continued roaring like that while simply spectating after re-booting up to spectate.
This is all extremely frustrating. Just when I thought all was well this happens again and I can't enjoy racing. The strange thing as I said before is this seems to happen only with Project Cars 2. The roaring fan, unresponsive wheel buttons and/or disconnections etc. It hasn't been happening with Wreckfest.
At this point I don't know if it's the wheel/base, the PS4 console, the console fan (which has already been replaced) or whatever. I don't know if updating the wheel/base driver/firmware will help. Only thing is I know I can't afford to buy any new console or wheel right now suffice it to say I'm royally pissed.

About updating the driver/firmware yeah that's been suggested by a couple people and I intend to get that done ASAP. I called the only person I know with a PC and who is a sim racer and more technically experienced yesterday, who helped me previously, and asked if he could install the necessary for me (I'd have to take my wheel and base up to him approx 45mins away) but he said he was busy and may only be able to accommodate me after Christmas so I have no choice but to wait.
Following Thursday night I joined Lobbie and others Friday night for Wreckfest and although I didn't experience any screen switching I did experience loss of the accelerator during race so again I had to bow out. Since then I gave another shot of cleaning both brakes and accelerator potentiometers etc to see if that would help. Gonna fire up the PS4 just now and see if it makes a difference. If it does I intend to join y'all today for 1:00pm EST. We'll see how it goes.

UPDATE: After I fired up the PS4 and went to do a couple laps for testing I noticed the brake and accelerator was still sticking as indicated by the semi-circular rev indicators on the HUD. So going round a corner although I would have released the accelerator prior to negotiating the bend it would be as though I was still engaging the gas and therefor speed. Same thing at a standstill. So that was no good. Brakes-wise it would be flickering during driving so that was no good either.
I came to a standstill and sort to try something. If I were to by hand pull the pedals a bit the flickering and engagement stopped. I thought then maybe for some reason the spring/s was not allowing the pedals to revert right back as per without engagement. Maybe that some residue was keeping them back from fully retreating.
.....So I said to myself...Self, how about try spraying some good ole WD-40 on the springs to see if that would free up whatever.
With nothing more to lose and at my wits end I did that. Covered the potentiometers with pieces of masking tape to prevent some WD-40 from going into the potentiometers and sprayed the springs. Let it dry for a bit and fired up the PS4 once again to test.
.....Low and behold that proved successful. Brakes and accelerator no longer sticking and engaging with juice as per normal.(Tested for about 5 laps just to see)
Don't know if the "switch screen" issue will reoccur but at least the pedals issue is fine for now. Amen. We'll see how that goes.

I don't mind driving that car we might do a split race with it though like 2 30 minute races instead of one hour when we do our weekly car test after the series I will throw it in there

Happy new years guys I won't be around later to post this so I rather get it out the way now lol.
Thanks for evryone that came out and support pits again this year has been a rough one for the league but I'm sure with the announcement of the ps5 and evrything else happening we will all have a new toy to play with soon hopefully we don't have to all buy new wheels again

I'm hoping my issues get sorted out myself. In addition to whatever I realised the plastic gear in the accelerator pedal was worn too. That may have been causing the accelerator sticking issue. I suspect same for the brakes. I've since opened up the accelerator pedal by the potentiometer housing and readjusted the gear notch to where was not worn. Seems fine now. May have to do the same for brakes soon as I get a chance.
Other than that I'm looking forward to the release of the new PS5 console also as I think part of my problems could be my PS4 may be going on the bum with the fan blowing way too hard than should be.

So slight issue boys just went to load up pcars to run some laps and got this weird ass code ce-35888-2
Did a Lil research and it says my bluray is dead not quite sure why though because it says ppl only get this code when they replace bluray gonna do more research and see what the real cause is

That's not good news apparently Stan. Just did a Google search myself. Don't know if you already saw this. It appears the chances are slim.
Could be you may need to get a new PS4.
