Fine I'll just shut up. If I race I race. If I don't I don't. Nothing more. Nothing less. You've already said all there is to say so leave it at that. You don't have to like me. Hell I don't even like me most days. But if I'm in the mood to race I'll join. Deal with it.

During practice I couldn't care less if you leave. But this will be the only warning I give, not just to you but to everyone. You just happen to be the one to bring it to light so I would like to refer everyone to the bottom of the general rules tab in the OP. It states:

Drivers are to continue to race and put their best effort the entire race night.
  • Due to the unique nature of the series and the KOQ process, this is to ensure that drivers are not left out that would have otherwise raced if given the chance
  • Of course real life situations occur from time to time as well as the random DC. This is not meant to penalize the occasional situation.
  • Continued repeat violation of this regulation will be managed at the discretion of the Series Director.

So you're right in the sense that if you don't want to race then don't but that doesn't mean show up and leave. Grim and I didn't put up with it in RCS and I won't either. @cheezzus raced with stitches in his mouth and puking from having wisdom teeth pulled and he stayed all 3 hours on Sunday. So I don't see any excuse for showing up and leaving. Yes I want full grids and close battles but there are plenty of drivers that will commit to the full night and we are getting close to full grid sign ups.

So to REPEAT myself again I will not tolerate leaving mid race night.

How about you keep it to yourself. I get it. It's not funny anymore. And if you can't keep it to yourself, make a private conversation with all your friends that like bashing me and enjoy it. I can take a joke but honestly just **** off at this point.

Car isn't that bad, but probably two stops. Those two decreasing radius 2nd gear turns are killer. I hear the tires screeching but I'm not sure if I'm okay or locking up. CrewChief will tell you if you're locking up a lot right? Can you change the threshold?

Oh oh oh, I missed this one. Can you feel the love? Steve, what was the name of that Zappa song again?

@Zii1993 Understood but c'mon man. Everyone's pain threshold is different. Obviously that guy has bigger balls than me. Not afraid to admit that. I looked this morning and half of my tooth is gone. And I don't have insurance right now...

So this whole braking issue... Should we put the brake balance more towards the front or rear? It sounds like they're always screeching at stock settings.

Thats understood and it was just practice but if you can't handle the race then don't start it.

I have my pressure at 72% and brakes at 47% 3% more rear for this guy. Everyone else will say the front is better but I'm an ass end kinda guy. Not in the lobban sense. (I tend not to date guys) haha

If my Internet doesn't stable itself, I might not be racing tomorrow.
Understood fallen. Hope it gets sorted. Took me awhile. Make sure you don't have anything dragging down your bandwidth. I did and didn't even realize it.

I found 70/100 works well. But the front left wears slightly quicker than the right. That's fixed with tire pressures right?

I totally forgot about brake pressure. I don't understand that, the game doesn't help. Are you controlling how hard the physical brakes are pressed based on how hard the brake pedal is pressed? so 100% would be 1:1? Lowering it would then make them less sensitive, so locking up wouldn't happen as much? Am I getting it?

Yea, but aren't there things to counter that? Iunno.

@Zii1993 Holy crap what a difference! I have a thing for round numbers so I had to go 75% not 72% and lowered by balance from 70 to 65, even 60 works fine. Now I can press hard and not hear a single screech. Really gives confidence going into braking zones.

Yes, lowering the brake pressure lowers how much pressure is applied, less lock up with the pedal pressed the same amount. Yes you are getting it.

Another thing that helped me speed wise not stability wise last night proved. Was to lower downforce for practice Then force yourself to practice 75% throttle on corner exits to maintain traction. Like t2-3 the right hander you should be off the brakes before turn in then line yourself up so left tires are lined up with rumble of t3 but there is a slight bump there so go 75% throttle hit the bump go to 90% as the car settles then go 100% for the straight.
This throttle technique will help you achieve better lap times when you put the downforce back on for the race.

I was looking at downforce too. I'm definitely not even gonna look at suspension and differential nonsense. So downforce... it's a two long straights and three high speed turns but two 2nd gear turns. Since it's more fast than slow, wouldn't it be faster overall if you could use lowest downforce and manage the throttle? It'd be tougher but the reward would be greater?

With the car being as squirrelly as it is with worn tires and it being 45 mins that falls on the driver as to where they draw the line for risk/reward

Dp, try the PCars tuning database for a basic setup and tweak to your own liking from there. I have a couple of secrets I will only share with my teammate, PM to follow Z. There is a setup in there specifically for Snetterton. It's a wierd setup, but it seems to work for me with a few tweaks that I won't share. Good questions.

There's a Snetterton 300 setup and a Snetterton 200 setup, made by SGETI. @SGETI should I look at that or is it not really set up yet?

Sgeti's got a setup??? It will be a good one i'm sure.

That is what I used last night for quickest lap, 1:11;8xx. on softs
the base of the tune is from TonyR, dam that guy is an alien.
Left front gets hot.
Still thinking of closing the brake duct a little more to build up more heat.
I did increase LSD Decel to 55,
I noticed other tunes are using a high level of front soft bump and soft rebound, i went the other way, balanced.
will hopefully try again tonight, this time with mediums.

edit, sheet up to date with number used from last night.

Brakes need to heat up to work best in the same tires do, but is it that severe? In the same way cold tires are like ice? And are you building heat for the brakes or does that reach the tires and that's your goal? See, tuning is so advanced...

Just went and ordered a new T300 RS servo base on Amazon. With overnight shipping.

After talking to thrustmaster they may charge me to fix my wheel. Out of warranty 6/2016. I have written to them as requested but the hope of them extended some goodwill does not sound good.

The bright side, they fix my wheel for free, and I return the servo base.
The down side, I bought a new base, which means less golf and beverage money.

Here is the kicker, I bought the base so I can race tomorrow night and be harassed and picked on by you gearheads only to find out I have a mandatory meeting to attend for my son. The meeting gets out at 8:00, hopefully no long winded baffoons will extend the meeting.

I spent many hours gaming Sunday and probably many hours this Sunday too. I'm gonna have to miss this one boys.
