This is why I use Amazon gift cards on my account, don't have to give them my credit card info and gift cards don't expire

that is a great idea, thanks for sharing.

I get why it works out like that, but come on, man...

I also understand why they did not process the new card , however when I went to update the card info they already had the new card info.

I agree. But an email saying "hey, still want this next week? We need your ok to use a different card if you do." would solve the problem and please the customer.

Confirmed for tomorrow as long as my sudden lagging issue smartens up. All seemed ok this morning. Last night every screen was taking forever to load and when it did I couldn't get into party chat or room. Hopefully can try again tonight with a few to see if it is ok.

Asseto Corsa first thoughts.

Just gonna say it right off, I don't think we will be using this for league racing! From what I could tell, there is very little you can set up for a race, it seems you pick car and track and take the default settings, I couldn't even find a way to set amount of laps or qualy time. Hopefully I missed something. About the only thing the same as pc is you can invite friends, rm number is the same at 16. No private setting though.

I played for about 2 1/2 hrs just now. As the reviews have noted, I agree that the driving experience itself is the best so far. The physics are really good. I actually found the cars I tried to be easier to drive than in pcars, but more realistic. They are very easy to control with the factory standard TC and ABS on, but way more realistic feeling with all aids off. Sounds are good, and thank god you can turn the tire noise down. The track itself is very good as well, the surface and immediate surroundings are more realistic than pcars. Other than that the graphics are not nearly as good though. AI is the best yet, even in easy mode it was a good fight.

The menu is very easy to navigate but I only tried the race menu, the other two were events and career modes, but I didn't have time to check them out. Tuning section is about the same level as pcars with a very easy setup menu. Car selection is ok, same with tracks, but both don't have as much as pcars. The biggest complaint I have, other than online settings, is your wheel set up, as in there isn't any, you get what you get, two options for your controls, thats it, nowhere near the freedom of choice we get with pcars. Will wait to hear from different wheel users to see if it's the same.

I realize I was only on for 2 1/2 hours, but I think it gave me a good feel for what to expect. At this point, and until I can get online with a couple of friends, I think I might have wasted my money. I hope I feel differently after some more sessions.

If PCars2 makes good improvements in their weaker areas, then I don't see AC being very successful, and now that we have no idea when GTSport is being released (other than 2017) I don't think we have much choice for now. With yet another delay from PD, GTSport had better be the best darn sim we've seen yet!!

Can you boot people from a lobby??
There was very few people online so I was only able to try a race on my own. Did a qualy session but then it wouldn't let me race. I didn't see anywhere that you could do that, but I didn't spend that much time in there either.

Confirmed

I'll have it later today.

I think I'm almost certainly going to buy a gaming PC this fall.
Got one picked out already, about $750 for one good enough to run Iracing, which by the way has a discount for first time users that's pretty awesome right now,I think this may be the way to go,still giving it some thought

How much does iRacing cost when including all cars and tracks added so you have the full up-to-date game?
Right now it's $119 for a year, comes with 10 cars and 15 tracks I think, each additional car and track is $10,and then they have discounts when you buy in bulk

$10 for a single car or single track? I don't care how good the quality is that's insane. And to start? $119 and you only get 10 cars, 15 tracks? What happens after a year? pay another $119? Not to sound to negative but that is expensive.

I've wasted $50 a thousand worse ways in my life. Just sayin...
What I'm gathering is AC is great for hot lapping and maybe single player AI races but online is a complete afterthought. And GTSport got delayed to god knows when... yeesh, I say GT7 for Christmas 2017, maybe...

Just looked it up and the first game came out in 1997. They will definitely try to get it out sometime in 2017 for the 20 year anniversary gimmick. Same with the 15 year one for GT6

Yes it is expensive, that's why only serious gamers play, you don't have any little kiddies playing this game,a lot of real life drivers get found on Iracing

It is expensive. However, it's not a "game" in the general sense. People rave about it, so I figure it must be pretty good. If one is willing to plop down the cash.

Still a cheap hobby though once you've invested in the rig.

Yeah,I've got a little over $1200 invested in my rig and wheel setup, another couple hundred for a years worth of racing and cars is a drop in the bucket

You've got the wheel, you got the pedals, the expensive part is already taken care of. I tried Iracing for a bit when it first came out. Good sim, but limited, only cockpit view. Granted 119$ is not that much for the cars and tracks provided, but again limited if you want to run a whole series on all the tracks, it adds up pretty quick. I already have all these sims on PC, AC, PC, Dirt and I find I go back to the console just for the simplicity of it. Plus, I know just enough about high end PCs to get by. They are too prone to glitches and config and registry and all the other BS .

I just tried AC as well, not bad, not bad. Aero, good write up for such a short try out. I will wait a bit before putting my Toonies and Loonies worth of a review. It'll take a bit of getting used to.

So if I'm gonna get it it's gonna be in the next 45 mins. Any more reviews or thoughts before I drop the money on it? Cause I need new pedals soon and that $ could go towards that.

My thing is will I use it more than once. I'd hate to buy it and still only be on pcars
It's much better than a one an done game, and I'm sure with updates it will only get better,I'm still playing after 2 hours so it's not that bad,if they would just add private online lobbies that would make it that much better
