I won't discuss specific incidents in the open forum because it is strictly against SNAIL policy. However, there were scenes that I would look at further and take action as required by our policies were we 100% go on these procedures.

As far as penalties, an IR Carries a far heavier fine than a drive through anyways.

Just things to keep in mind as we continue to develop the series.
Oh boy, you have a big job ahead of you just judging by the amount of damage on all the cars,

Oh lord I can't even begin to tell you how pissed I would be if I got damaged (due to landmine, or some other factor that I could not control) at the beginning of a lap at Le Mans. Over 4mins to get back around for a pit...what an angry lap that would be...

Most of the offs that I saw were self inflicted. Also from what happened to me at least was if you went off there was a lot of run off to slow you down a little so it wasn't too bad.

Perhaps it was the replay glitching but to me it looked like a fair amount of carnage back there in the second race, It looked like 4-5 guys punted out on the corners or under braking

Is this replay or the stream you're talking about?

The stream, it looked like cars were rear ended, others forced off the race line. It's too bad fair play doesn't take priority over winning.
But perhaps talent scouts are monitoring p cars...lol.

From what I can see and hear from the start of Race #2, I can only ID 3 actual bumps between cars, and 1 car hitting the wall which was self induced. 2 of the bumps were door to door bangs before the chicane, and one was a bump in the back end of someone going into the chicane. Starting in 13th, from my perspective it seemed like everyone who had issues going into chicane #2 on the Mulsanne straight were probably caused by colder tires, and brakes from the formation lap. Just some observations from my perspective.

EDIT: I am all for us as drivers stepping up our game and getting better, especially in traffic, but at the same time I don't feel that any of us intentionally forced anyone off of the racing line.

Well, all on all I saw A LOT of really good clean battles last night. Also a lot of self inflicted damage. In almost 2.5 hours of monitoring I saw minimal mistakes of track extents and only a couple of moments that would prompt me to review the replay.

Compared to what I saw and had to deal with a couple years ago to get folks in line, this was like pro-level.

Yeah.. I think I'm too fussy, I drive it like I own it. Used to gt legends racers, we rarely bumped a guy off the track. Slight bump got him loose, but rule was, back off, let him gather it up, give the position back. No hard feelings.

That is the rule in SNAIL, which governs PITS as well.

The problem here is slight bump equals permanent damage which equals ruined race.

I am going to have to respectfully disagree with this point. Yes, someone bumping, into you, or vice versa, does cause damage that is "permanent" till either the driver pits and repairs it or deals with it till the race is over. However, I have personally raced in many races were I have been bumped or accidentally bumped someone and acquired damage, yet was able to still maintain solid pace and finish with good results. I would argue that slight bumps do not ALWAYS translate to ruined races. just my opinion.

For Example - In Race #1 at Imola going into the tight chicane I had @Mike Lobban bump me in the rear in the braking zone causing me to cut the corner and get a 5 second penalty. Now this happened cause he was in the draft and it pulled him into my car. However, he let off and waited and I retained my position at the time, and even went on to win that race after the scuffle between @Alex ONeill and @vovik05 .

I don't see many giving the position back...lol.

Not to be a jerk, but I feel like if we are going to go down this road, we are going to need to point out some examples from the race of where people were bumped and the driver who did it took advantage and went by.

FYI - Last night in Race 2 going into the hair pin after INDY, I slightly bumped into the back of @TomMang_68. I let off just enough for him to regain position, but I was still able to stay right on him till I made the clean pass going down the
start / finish straight.

Which is why we now have a in room steward.

Which is the correct procedure under the rules.
You can pass the person afterwards, once they regain position, it's fair game. But just because you ended up gaining the position, doesn't mean you behave wrong.

I'd like to point out a positive example, 1st race around the 1:50 mark..user was reeling me in(I was on mediums) I believe he saw I was right on the limit. In the stream I see he was door to door with me in the final chicane. He backed off gave me room to make the chicane. I then let him by as he was clearly running faster.. And. Because he was not impatient I gave. Him the respect he earned.

These are the stories I miss hearing about from RCS.

Those were the days...

Different crew nowadays. Different rules.

Some drivers claim to be hardcore while others claim to want to have fun...apparently those are mutually exclusive to some. I like to have a good mix...

Yep... The good old days, when all you had to worry about was your scarf coming loose and if you had enough wood in the firebox of your Stanley steamer!!

Although Josh startled me when he called out the turn 19 OOB warning, which cost me a couple of seconds in wondering what to do....now I know, I liked the fact he pointed it out. After running a wide line through there for so long without a penalty from the game, habit took over. It was a small adjustment to my entry that kept me in bounds and legal. All in all, great job Lesson.

I didn't see any dirty stuff on track at all, a few costly mistakes but nothing to constitute an IR. I was hoping to finish higher in the second race, but my own lack of attention and racing in the friggn dark,( I hate racing at night), forced me into a second pit stop to fix damage, other than that it was a fun night of zoom zoom.

I don't think Bear likes the Mac......... YA THINK..... Thats a real beer. Canadian.

Don't change your style Bear, you're one of my favorite guys to race side by side with. It's never about getting around as quick as you can, but rather how you're setting yourself up for the next straight or corner. That makes for the most enjoyment. I can't recall one incident where you've gone by me with contact.

Here here. Yogi is fun to race with. Won't back down but gives room to race.

That Gr8 guy , if memory serves he was pretty clean too...it's been too long.
