Based on my previous calculations which turned out pretty accurate.
At the current posting rate, we will reach 3,000,000 posts in about 620 days from when the 2,000,000 post was made. So late 2007.
We'll reach 10,000,000 posts in 2019.
By the end of the century, the post count will be a mammoth 53,943,968
Post number 100,000,000 will come some time into the year 2177.
At the end of the millienium 584,261,340 posts will have been made
Here's to the year 3000 for GTP
(Ok, really bored here, if Jordan started GTP the day the universe started, at the current post rate the post count would be around 8,825,700,000,000,000. I have no idea what the number is, 8 Trillion?)

Well done to Famine for bringing this again to the communities attention. And well done also for getting the 2 millionth post (even if you are about the third or fourth person to do so!)
I was going to post in here when the event occured - there were 350 posts to go when I went to bed - but you've beaten me to it as per usual.
It's interesting the number of posts that are deleted around this place. I thought there would be hardly any, but there was one last night right when I was working out the numbers, and then two more overnight. (My difference was 238,919)
So, who knows when we will reach 2 million posts again? Or hopefully we can move forward from here toward 3 million. There are plenty of threads around here that really should be deleted though...
That fact that this place has been around to reach 2 million posts is testament to Jordan about just how good this forum really is, and a congratulations and a big thanks to him for making it what it is - and to all the members who make GTPlanet.net the best forum on the Internet!
