Digital foundry unboxing both PS5 and Xbox X. They seem really impressed with the new PlayStation controller.

I'm assuming either Sony asked them to not do that
According to the company, "a certain console provider’s lawyer recently ‘suggested’ a few changes to our website".

What are the games you look forward to playing from the PS Plus collection when you get PS5?

These are mine:

God of War - Not really a big fan of the genre but reviews seem overwhelmingly positive.
Last Guardian - Love the design of the animal in that game.
Batman Arkham Knight - I enjoyed the previous games in the series, but never got around to this one.

The others I’ve either played already or not very excited about.

UPDATE: At first it looked like Sony was unhappy with the initial URL, now they are unhappy with the business as a whole since the company has been forced to cancel orders and cease sales of any faceplates:

Looks like Sony plans to have the market cornered when it comes to customisable faceplates.

China disagrees I'm sure. They'll be available given enough time.

Sony can cease and desist all they want, these 3rd party faceplates will eventually find their way on to the market, just like there have been custom shells for consoles and controllers for decades.

Ive watched a few videos now showing how good the playstation 4 games run on the playstation 5 with no slowdowns and looking silky smooth etc.....shame we need a playstation 5 to enjoy playstation 4 games properly....I`d like to see gran turismo sport on the playstation 5 with a full grid replay, because on my playstation 4 pro, you can notice the frame rate gets jerky and horrible in places...

How would that be? They're saying you can't transfer them to any mechanical drive at all.

Thats even worse then.

From article "and thus far, Sony has not whitelisted any third-party M.2 NVMe drives for extra solid state drive space."

I'm leaning more and more towards investing in a gaming-worthy laptop when this one needs replacing and forgetting about Playstation or Xbox. Just Nintendo + PC.

Playstation & Xbox now seem like the cons of a PC plus the cons of a console, with few of the benefits of either paradigm. I don't expect native PS5 or XBSX games to fare any better than PS4 or XBone games did on their original hardware, or for developers to adopt more "console-like" practices on PS/Xbox. I still think of PC gaming as a headache, but I honestly do not see much point in turning to a Playstation or Xbox as an alternative anymore.

Killer exclusives could change my mind, but the sort of games Sony and Microsoft showcase suggest that I'm way out in left field in relation to their market demographic. :indiff:

Sony really has dropped the ball with the storage situation. Not being able to move next gen games onto an external HDD for archiving like the Series X is going to create a ton of problems, especially as no SSD has even been certified yet and they aren't going to be as cheap per GB as mechanical for at least a decade.

Apparently usb type hard drives are compatible so thats good.
They are, but not for PS5 games. I mean, it's covered in the link you posted...
The big one is this: right now, there seems to be no way of copying PS5 games away from the main system storage, presenting problems when the SSD is full. In this scenario, the only way to install new games is to delete old ones, meaning that to play them again you'll need to re-download them - deleting other installed PS5 games in the process. PlayStation 4 games installed to PS5 are not affected - these can be moved off to external USB storage.
Mark Cerny did say back in June that Sony would publish a list of compatible SSDs for expansion, though he didn't say exactly when. That will reveal what SSDs you can put in the slot and have the PS5 recognise - and this should simply be a matter of what will fit (basically any 22mm SSD) and what will support the required data transfer rate of 5.5GB/s or better.

All of these review units are using pre-final PS5 firmware. That means they will not necessarily represent the launch PS5 console capabilities - including support for SSD expansion and 8K, which presently do not function.

One of the games I was looking forward to playing on PS5 for the very first time was Last Guardian. Just saw in the latest video that it was patched to allow it to run at 60 fps! It was a mess in terms of frame stability on PS4 and Pro hardware, but looks to be now running locked 60. Wonder if all PS Collection games will get that treatment eventually.

Same. Powered up my Pro this morning to find that on it. Checked my standard PS4 and it wasn't on that.
