Playstation is rediculous

I posted this thread just to vent so apologies but I dont do any other social media so here I am after 3 hrs and finally getting to talk to someone I found out that since I bought the physical $90 collectors edition of the game and I have a digital ps5 that I cant upgrade to ps5 version of the game without buying it for another $70 and my psvr2 is coming tommorow also the supervisor I talked to said she was the highest position I could talk to
$10 upgrade would sure be nice

Did you buy the physical edition knowingly so despite owning a digital only PS5????
 
I bought the pre-order collector edition tin that came with ps5 physical disc and ps4 digital download code before i had a ps5 and when a ps5 was available to purchase i could only get the digital only but that didnt bother me at the time because i never buy discs anymore and i thought i would be able to upgrade digital when it became available i only bought collector edition because im a gt fanboy

Oh you thought the digital PS4 version would be upgradable? That does suck that it isn't. My bad dude.

yeah i thought they might try to help me some how but the people i talked to didnt even know upgrades were happening until i told them and they looked more into it

How are you trying to upgrade because doesn't the digital PS4 version have the same $10 upgrade too?

they told me that only works with the disc they said if you put ps4 disc in ps5 you get the upgrade option i didnt feel like they really knew what was going on

You can upgrade the digital version just fine too.... Hover over the game, press down on the D-Pad and then on the right it should show the option to upgrade it for $10.

i have tried that i have it pulled up now when i hover over it and then push down it says play game and on the right its just my trophies

The hell? Okay that is weird. Have you viewed it in the PSN store through the three little dots by the game?

yeah i have what they told me is that since my ps4 digital version was acquired through a digital code that came with disc is why i dont get the option for upgrade through the store

No. The 25AE physical edition comes with a PS5 version on disc and a PS4 digital entitlement, not a digital version.

The PS4 digital entitlement cannot be upgraded to a PS5 digital version - pretty much to prevent people buying it, redeeming the PS4 code, upgrading to PS5 for $10, and then returning it for a refund.

Okay then OP Mr Legal Smeagol here has proven me wrong once again. I don't want to be that guy but if you can afford a PSVR2 you can more than likely afford to save up and buy the game again.

yeah but i bought that copy because i love gran turismo been playing since 1 and i really wanted that collector edition
