Will GT7 with PS5 Pro and PSVR2 have significantly better video quality?

O
Sorry to try to find excuses

But if there is anyone here who can run GT7 simultaneously on both PS5 and PS5 Pro

Then switch immediately back and forth the PSVR2 unit between the two consoles, and identify clearly on different scenarios what the improvement are

That would be ideal...

I know it will take a lot of time, but that would be concrete evidence....

Anyone wants to give a try ?

It would take away a few hesitation....

There are improvements, but right now we are just qualifying them, not so much quantifying them....
OK, I must admit. I’m curious myself. I get the feeling the PS five pro is better but I can’t quantify by how much. Now my old PS five has been unplugged since I got the pro so I’ve just plug it back in and I’m letting it update the game. i’ll have a bit of work to do switching between the two consoles, but I’m going to perhaps do a couple of circuit experiences and do them side-by-side and see how it looks on VR replay.

I recordered the Mulsanne Straight which does still have tree pop up in the far distance, and sector 1 of Tokyo Expressway central clockwise on the Pro.

Now I need to do that the OG5.

I’m capturing at 1080 MP4 and I will edit and post in 4K ProRes for minimal quality loss.

Still waiting for the older console to update before I can capture there as well.

Here you go!

I took over three hours to make this video with recording, editing and uploading. I record in 1080 MP4 and ingested into my Mac as is and edited and uploaded to YT in 4K ProRes 422 for no quality loss. This is the best quality video that is possible in Youtube.

i tried it on the first day and gave up because it is not so easy to switch and reassign controllers .
and if somebody does, still doesn't count. then we'll still question if that person was able to tell the difference or was just exaggerating.

I'm just chiming in to say the difference is so profound I removed my pro from my 77" Samsung s90c and wall mounted it in my garage as a dedicated VR unit. It's much smoother now. I'd pay 700 just for this. I gave 600 hours logged in gt7 VR prior to the Pro. I'll be getting another Pro for my TV now. I'll have to trade a few systems in but it's OK. I guess I'm a fan boy now.

is there a way to disable the processing which goes the hdmi out? like tv disable.

one less output, then maybe more processing could be used for psvr2 games.

You don't have to plug the console into a TV at all, but it doesn't matter.

The HDMI out feed is just the feed from one of the two screens in the headset (IIRC, it's the right eye screen). It doesn't require any additional processing.

Is it just me that still gets small stutters even on PS5 pro? I even feel like I notice them more on the pro than on the standard... I prioritized frame rate, 120hz mode and turned PSSR off.
