PlayStation VR2 for PlayStation 5

Okay! I love playing GTS in VR. Gives you an amazing feel of actually being inside the cars, gives you much better conditions for playing in first person too. VR2 looks very interesting!
I hope to see VR2 during future Gran Turismo championships. Theoretically there will be less accidents since the racers will have better control of their surroundings.

Hope this foreshadows PS5 regular availability.
Probably jumping the gun on this, but I’ll be curious to see if some of my theories of past come to fruition. In particular Sony bogarting chips to mass produce PS5/PS5 pro and PSVR2 for a complete console re-launch

I’ll be hovering my finger over the button the millisecond pre orders go live

Well I'm definitely not shelling out on a wheel now. Was considering using my rainy day fund for a starter setup, but the VR will get so much more use. Day One.

I own the original VR set...used it for like 10 hours total, because the games looked kinda meh, no matter what I've tried.
The best thing was GT Sport. Looking at the cars in the showroom mode was kinda cool, because they were as big as in real life, although way too clean...
But the best experience was to take an open wheel car for a spin and install a fan in front of me, ultra-realistic experience :D

Hope this headset will take advantage of the PS5's power and the games would be a little better, because in previous gen it was nothing more than a gimmick and proof of concept

Have spend a couple hundred hours with mine at least (not even tried GTS). Squadrons, Blood & Truth, Astro Bot, Everybody's Golf, Beat Saber, Box VR. Yes the graphics can be a bit low-rez but the immersion more than makes up for it. This was all on a base PS4 so looking forward to using the increased power of the PS5.

I’ve got extremely high hopes this will provide a whole new experience playing GT7 with my rig. I’ve never done VR racing before and am very much looking forward to it!

Yeah driving in VR is awesome, Normally I clip the barrier at turn before the start at time trial Nordschliefe , I was getting within whiskers of the barrier in VR, but this next vr set we need other cars too race in GT7 or won't touch it.

Nothing less than full GT7 VR compatibility will be a failure in my book. I'll still get it for other games, though.

I am worried if VR is implemented game-wide that PD will disable it in Sport Model because they would consider it an "unfair advantage".

Negative on it being an unfair advantage. I was roughly 1.5-2 seconds off my lap time in GTS while using PSVR. It was almost impossible to duplicate some of my inputs when I was in the driver’s seat for real.

I am much faster and more consistent in VR. Depends on how everyone feels with that "hat" on...

I got some practice to do then! For me, I was waaaaay more consistent, but I couldn’t mentally force myself to take some of those “questionable” lines we’re forced to in sport races.

Regardless, I’m all in! Even if I become C-rated!

Admittedly I don't have a whole lot of experience in GTS in VR because it was so limited. I did hundreds of hours though in ACC and DR2.0 leagues. The VR really helped me out there to be more competitive.

Not sure I agree about last gen VR being a gimmick. There were so many fabulous games.

Astro Bot Rescue Mission
Beat Saber
SuperHot VR
Blood & Truth
Firewall Zero Hour
Farpoint
Doom VFR
Moss
Tetris Effect
Resident Evil 7
Wipeout Omega
Star Wars Squadrons

And no doubt many more I forget or have never played.

It absolutely will be an unfair advantage but to be honest I'm ok with that. It's the same in the PC sim racing space - some have VR, some do not, some have triple screens, some do not.

Hopefully Sony won't do something as daft as splitting VR players from 2D players or disabling VR entirely for competitive play.

Wipeout Omega in VR was worth the purchase price on its own.
