Thank you. I will get some pics of the new seats when they eventually arrive. Next year the entire interior including the seats will be white and orange. I will also be buying some paint for it too so we can get started on painting it and applying some more eleanor parts. :)

Wow, good work on it so far, I can't wait to see the transformation take place. Once the paint starts going on it will look absolutely stunning. 👍

T/y.
Here is an idea of what the paint looks like. I painted her welding helmet back in 2006 with the paint color. House Of Kolor sunset pearl orange. She still uses it when she is welding too. :) Also my first attempt at flames. lol I will re-do it some day and paint the entire helmet. Looks even better in the sun.

Awesome project dude, I love it. It'd be perfect with a 4 speed manual though ;) .

@whoever said to get a 289 instead of 302: They're the same block. And, as a recommendation to the OP, get a 302 block out of an 87-88 Tbird or 87-93 Mustang; they're roller blocks. Mine has been dead nuts reliable, and she just passed 150k miles a few weeks ago :) .

Finally 2 1/2 months later the seats arrive. The worst customer service I have delt with in my entire life. The packaging was also horrible. The boxes were crushed and several of the edges were ripped open. This usually isnt a problem but it was so poorly packaged they just set the bolts in the cardboard box and some of the bolts and necessary hardward fell out of the holes. Then if that wasnt enough, they said they would send a set of 5 point racing seatbelts for free because of the wait. Well those also were not delivered. Do not ever buy from shophyperformance.com
The seats look pretty good and feel comfortable. I will install them next year.
EDIT: Pics moved to first post

thats the coolest thing ever :dopey:

a girl with her own welding helmet :P

You’re missing a very, very important part, dude: a CAR girl with her own welding helmet. FLAMED. That also drives a Mustang. Oh got damn. It could only get better if it was a 71 ‘Cuda.

Your girl’s mom Mustang is cool, it has a great 70s vive thanks to the fat rears and Slot mags, it only needs side pipes and a tunnel ram poking trough the hood, but I think that’s a little overkill, hahaha

I read your interior will be white? If so how come the seats are black? O_o

Anyway, at least you got them.

Wow, you and me agree on the car AND the exact year. :scared: I want a 71' Cuda more then anything. MMmmmmm the sound of that 440 Hemi roaring down the highway.

And I'm really liking how the Mustang is turning out 👍 Bummer on the crap company that sent you the seats. I'm assuming your never using them again? :dopey:

I just bought the front 17"x8" Vantage V45 wheels her Mustang. :)

Thank you. If you know me well enough, you will know her car will look nothing like any of the other Eleanor clones. This is going to be different in many ways including paint, interior, exhaust, engine, wheels and much more.
They are the same exact wheels that are on this 67 Mustang. The mustang in these pics is a coupe but hers is a fastback. The wheels should be here Tuesday.

I'm not a big fan of any rim bigger than 15" on a muscle car, but those are nice lookin. Can't wait to see the final product!

(ps - my 306 should be in and running this weekend, so keep an eye on my thread for updates :) )

That notch-back looks very tidy 👍 - does it make you question converting Heather's into a coupe?

Not at all. I have always dreamed of owning a fastback and my dream has finally come true after convertiong hers. Her Mustang is going to be very nice in a few years. 👍

Why the heck would someone CONVERT a fastback to a coupe? Fastbacks are much more rare, and generally more expensive too. Not to mention way better looking!

I love those wheels. I'll be getting a similar set for my Camaro. Just in gunmetal.

ooooh yeah, Vintage 45s are awesome, I shot a 68 Coupé with those wheels a while back, damn was it cool.

And the new heart transplant begins............$250.00 302 V8 we will be swapping in place of her 200 I6. Once we get it mocked up into the car, we can start buying a new intake, valve covers and other goodies to make it run and look better. :sly:
Block numbers indicate it is around a 1974 engine. I still need to look up the head identification to verify what year and what vehicle it came out of.
Also a good thing we put this on the engine stand and put it in the garage because sunday morning we had 2 inches of snow.

No we have not had a chance to work on it yet. Plus I just had my recent road track race event with my 69 Camaro. Been very very busy the last 3 months.

Hopefully within the next month we can at least set the engine and tranny into the car. Then we can lower the car and mock up the stance. Then we can also get the disk brake conversion and wheels onto the car too.
Thanks for asking. :)

How did your track day go, have you posted anything about it on here yet?
