Week 162 winner: LdS

Theme: Gravel Rally vs. Tarmac Rally

This week will be a special week, that convey two competition in one. The Rally competition and the Head to Head, but, in PMC Rules. There will be two polls, one for the Tarmac Rally side and another for the Gravel Rally side. (Note: In gravel, you most not be in tarmac, even if the track is the listed on gravel. The same apllies to the tarmac side)

Cars: Rally Cars

Tracks:
Gravel: Dirt and Snow tracks;
Tarmac: Citta di aria, Costa di amalfi, EL Capitan and any dirt and snow, if you have your car in tarmac.

Photo Travel: No

Entry requirements

• You may submit one entry. It must be your own work not previously entered in a competition.
• Please mark your Final Entry clearly.
• You must post your entry either as a thumbnail, or as a preview linked to the full image - see here for instructions.
• Previews should be no larger than 400 pixels along the longest side, be it vertical or horizontal.
• We recommend you use a free image hosting service such as or
• Photos must be taken from a normal version of GT4, do not use any cheats or Game Shark codes to modify the game content.
• Please do not ask other members to choose your entry. Have confidence in your own skills and go with your favourite shot(s).

Image enhancement rules
(what you can and can't do in Photoshop etc.)

• You may adjust brightness, contrast and gamma values.
• You may rotate, crop and resize the image.
• You may add a border and signature to your entry.
• You may NOT adjust levels, hue, saturation, curves or sharpen the image.
• You may NOT use filters, blurs or layers on your entry.
• You may NOT add any elements to the original photo.

That's almost exactly the same as a shot I took in the game about 5 minutes ago to enter for this! Same car, same track, same 'behind the grass' look! How bizarre. I'll be using a different one though. 👍

"Tree'd?" Very nice work, NTX. Somehow, the picture reminds me of a rare game hunt, with the camera being the rifle searching for its prey.

I like how this gave me a sort of 2.0 look with the blurred gravel. It's just a pity the car couldn't be fixed!

80Y:I have a very extensive gallery. that shot is MONTHS old. i took hundreds of shots before I even thought of coming here, just for kicks and giggles. Sometimes, a competition's theme just so happens to suit one of my shots. this one suited me perfectly. I have dozens that I could use for either gravel or tarmac (tarmac is coming!)

dammit, I just found and PMC edited a grand canyon shot a few minutes ago...now I am torn...that GC shot is probably one of the most realistic ones I've ever produced...looks phantasmal.

H2H was before my time... what was it again?
Let's drop the drift comp and have the H2H!

Head2Head was a competition which would have two rivals, like Corvettes vs. Stingrays, or even Yokohama vs. BBS. Everyone would choose an entry based on the rival of their choice, and then two polls would be made one for one rival, and one for the other. The winner of each poll, would then be put into another poll, and the winner of those two images would be the outright winner.

I always remembered it as a fantastic competition, and baring the PMC tournaments, was the toughest of all to win (I wone it once!). It should definitely make a comeback! 👍

Stop it man, I'm welling up here! Man I miss the old days and the crew we had back then (not that there is anything wrong with today's crew). just looking back through Sejturs, Krames, and Garnettrules21's galleries, makes me wish it was 2007 all over again! 👍

PJ: you don't need to know PS at all for PMC comps. it's just Image-->Adjustments-->Brightness/contrast, basically.
