but seriously. how is it brave to die for a cause, but cowardly to kill others. if you think it out, dying for a cause, without killing others, is just retarded. its like fighting a battle with a banana for a weapon. you do it becuase you want to be brave, but you musnt kill others, or you will be a coward.

Study the term "martyr." And not the militant, Islamic, jihad bastardization, which is cowardly and kills innocent people, but the Christian usage. You will find your answer there.

The ultimate purpose of war is to end the war, not absolute annihilation.

ahh i see what was wrong with my response before. innocent...... thank you. you are correct. see, I ask for you to tell me what is wrong with a post, and you tell me. a simple typo. if you say it isnt, go kill yourself.

now what is wrong with this, "trying to kill as many as possible is the objective of war." this could also apply to terrorist, you may not consider it a war, but to them it is.

again i must say, not the objective of a country at war, but the objective of a soldier. just like DBG45 referred to in his post.

because it is not dying for your cause that makes you significant. it is trying to kill as many enemies as possible while risking your own life. we may be talking about different things, im not sure.

Civilized countries don't fight wars like that anymore. America has gone to great lengths to minimize death because it sees it as an inevitable side effect of war, not the purpose of war. The purpose of war is to win and end it. This is easier to do if you destroy all their equipment and infrastructure, not all the people.

i dont think telling him to kill himself is wrong. it isnt a serious suggestion, and if it was, I REALLY dont think he would do it.

my response should have been this:
