A solid MEH from me.To me there is nothing really stand out or anything that makes me want to run out and buy up their cd's.They possess a decent sound, decent vocals, but that's about it from my standpoint.
I knew they weren't going to get a great reception. QotSA are great. I saw them opening for NIN in Miami a few years ago and it was a perfect concert. They really brought that genre of music back into the mainstream.
I really meant to vote good, but not HoF. Oh well one vote for them being HoF doesn't seem like it's going to make a difference.
HoF for me, they're one of the earliest non-punk rock bands I got hooked on so I have a bit of a soft spot. It was a bitter/sweet moment when I missed my chance to see them so I could see a favourite band of mine, the Mad Caddies, at Soundwave Festival earlier this year.
Hall of Famers. In a hall amongst themselves, because placing them with other bands is disrespecting them. Songs including 3's and 7's, Go With The Flow, Infinity, Sick,Sick,Sick, You've Got a Killer Scene There Man, Millionare, Make It Wit Chu, No One Knows. Come on! Songs for Deaf, Lullabies to Paralyze, Era Vulgaris are 3 awesome albums. Come on people!
Hall of Famers. I saw Them Crooked Vultures in Sydney 18 months ago, and I still remember Josh Homme feeding this audience of three thousand an incredible energy. And they gave it straight back to him; by the end of the set list, the audience was exhausted, but Homme looked like he was only just getting started. I've seen videos of QotSA live, and the same thing happens there.
