POLL: If GT6 came out on PS3 and PS4, which one would you buy?

If Gran Turismo 6 came out on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, which version of the game would you buy?

Both. The PS3 decision is based solely on timing. The PS4 version will[hypothetical] be to support a gaming franchise I enjoy and to possibly receive extra items/DLC for a purchase I would have made regardless.

PS3 first obviously. I'll get PS4 eventually, mainly for the GT series and one or two other games, but only when the value of GT6/PS3 is played out for me or when the majority of the online portion of the game has moved over to PS4. I think it'll be GT7 Prologue and then GT7 on PS4 though. The first GT on PS4 has to have some dramatic differences from GT6 to make it a no brainer for fans to buy the console and game.

EDIT: I didn't answer you poll because it assumes GT6 will also be on PS4, which I don't believe will happen.

As of right now, I would buy it on PS3 as the PS4 needs to gain a decent user base first. However, a purchase of GT6 on PS4 would be more ideal as there is much more potential that can be unlocked for the game on a next-gen system.

Due to the unanswered questions surrounding the PS4, I voted for PS3.

Also I was told by a friend who's pre-ordered a PS4 that it won't be backwards compatible with PS3 games (likely PS3 discs). Whether there is going to be some sort of backwards compatibility using the Gaiki service remains to be seen.

PS3 Only though at some point in the future I may get it for the PS4, for example if my PS3 dies and I need another console or if some other really cool game I want comes out just for the PS4 but currently I have no plans to buy a PS4 and likely will not until GT7 is about to release.

I am very happy that GT6 is on the PS3

Well, my PS3 is broken and I'd rather not buy another one just for a single game. Since the PS4 (correct me if I'm wrong) isn't backwards compatible, then I'd get the PS4 version along with the console itself.

I voted only Ps3, mainly because I don't know whether I'm actually getting a Ps4.
Basically the fact it's going to be on Ps3 is what pushed me to start a PC build .

I voted for "none of the above" because none of them quite fits right for me (and because I wanted to make a "Brewster's Millions" movie reference ).

Sure I will (most likely) buy GT6 for the PS3 because that's the game that's been officially announced, even before GT6 was announced though I wasn't expecting to get a PS4 at or close to it's launch and that hasn't changed.

No doubt in the future I will get a PS4 and whatever GT game becomes available but, like Johnnypenso, I'm not expecting it to be a GT6 re-release though on the offchance it is and is the only GT game on the PS4 when I get one then I'll get it too.

If it comes out for PS4 in Q4 2014 I would seriously consider buying it again. As I will have it on PS3 I would only consider the PS4 version if it included the PS3 DLC or if the DLC purchased was cross compatible.

A new console is expensive. And unlike every XBox I've ever owned, my PS3 is running strong with no signs of ever dying. So my plan is to buy the PS3 version of the game and play it until they offer something worthy of dropping big money for new hardware. That might be GT7 or 8, not sure. So I plan to be the proud owner of a PS4 sometime in 2015.

Since PS4 version of game wouldn't work with PS3 and I just happen to have PS3, I would only buy PS3 version.

I'm not first in queue to wait PS4 release. I will observe if it will be something between complete failure (teething problems, privacy violating terms or etc. nasty) to enormous success (fun for everyone!) and I will not pay more than 250 euros for console.

Since I have a PS3 and I'm more a GT fan than a gamer I would cop that PS3 GT6 first. Once I see a reason to spring for a PS4 i.e. GT6 or GT7 is so much superior on that platform and hopefully by that time we shall see a decrease in price, by all means I would take my sim racing experience to the next level.

I would buy it on PS3 because I already own the PS3, Fanatec wheel and pedals, other games, PlayTV and other accessories. PS4 is better but will be way too expensive at launch, I'm going to wait a couple of years before I buy the PS4 and the Xbox One for that matter. The Last Of Us, GTA5 and GT6 will help me get a bit more life out of the PS3.

I would only buy the PS3 version, because I will not buy a PS4, until GT7 is released... the only difference is going to be graphical, except for maybe the loading times will be 5 seconds instead of 10 seconds... Its going to be the same physics, and that's whats important
