Both. The PS3 decision is based solely on timing. The PS4 version will[hypothetical] be to support a gaming franchise I enjoy and to possibly receive extra items/DLC for a purchase I would have made regardless.

I voted for ps4. I will be picking up a ps4 at launch so I will either wait for a ps4 version of gt6 or pick up gt6 a few months down the line.

The ps4's lack of backwards compatibility is disappointing but with dark souls 2 coming out on the ps3 next year and GTA:V coming out this year, my ps3 will be sitting next to my ps4 for a while.

If it was released for both, it would be a PS3 game played on PS4, and I don't need a PS4 for a PS3 game. They aren't building a totally different version of the same game for PS4.

"You don't need to buy a PS4 just for GT6, bro. There's other games." Yeah, and the multi-platform releases would also be available for the Xbox One I need for FM5, and I haven't bought a Sony-exclusive since LittleBigPlanet (1), besides GT5. I haven't played a game on my PS3 since I left GT5 in spring of 2011.

I will just get it for PS3, even if there was a PS4 port.
 
If I have money for the PS4 at that time I´ll get the PS4 version only and let my PS3 "RIP" after all of these great years of gaming. (70+ games + TLOU coming, Rain and Beyond Two Souls that I can´t miss)
 
If the PS4 wasn't out here or I couldn't afford/justify it yet, I'd still wait to play GT6 on PS4. Just some extra polish in the graphics and reduced load times mean that much to me, I'm mostly a PC gamer.
 
I would not buy PS4 just for GT6 when it looks perfectly well on PS3. I admire what PD did with PS3, graphics are eye candy and all this @ 60 fps.

What Gran Turismo wins most is the gameplay so the graphics won't matter in the end of the day.

The answer is PS3 version Only.
 
I said both. If GT6 comes with special collectors editions like GT5 did, I would buy the collectors edition for the PS3, and once the PS4 came out, I would just by the normal game
 
If I want to buy something that equals to 4 or 5 PS2s and and 5 GT5s or I just want to buy 5 GT5s, then I'd say 5 GT5s. So PS3 for me!
 
The PS4 version assuming it had 500-600 cars of equal quality. Whatever Gran Turismo game is released on the PS4 should not have standard cars.
 
Probably the PS3 one first, then the PS4 version when it is released unless the gap between them is very small in which case it would involve a painful but short wait and the latter!

Wow, that is a great point.

In that case, I'd get the PS3 version first, just because it has more cars to drive, knowing standards have no chance in making it. There are at least 300 standards that I am looking forward to drive with the new physics, and customize.
 
I am waiting for E3 to make any decisions. I currently have no idea which console I will even be buying. If I am even going to buy a new console. After E3 in a few days, I will know for sure.
 
I'm going to say "Only PS3" on the basis that I wont be buying a PS4 for a few years yet and by then hopefully GT7 would already be out.

I'm not the type to pay early adopters tax, especially when I have a high end gaming rig to keep me entertained until the PS4 drops in price.
 
I would get PS3 version, because, there will not be a PS4 version. I am going to wait a few years to get the PS4 and will probably get a ps4 when GT7 comes out!
 
Not gonna make the mistake of buying a PlayStation just for Gran Turismo again. If GT6 doesn't come for PS3 (although I think it's 100% positive that we'll get it new) I will just sell my PS3 and get on with my life, bye bye Gran Turismo. I think that's one of the reasons why they didn't kept it for the PS4, it would've been a shameless middle-finger to the fans who bought a PS3 expecting a GT game that wasn't as underwhelming as GT5.

Anyways, as I said, why keep discussing this? It's coming on PS3 and GT7 for PS4 will come by...2014...2015...erm...the day your grand-grand-grand children blow up the Death Star.

My PS3 is only a few years old, & is working perfectly fine. Can't afford to buy a PS4 at the moment, & don't wanna start paying for PS Plus just so I can race online. The only time I'll be buying a PS4 is when GT7 comes out.
 
Eve though I already voted for PS3 GT6 before E3, that will remain my choice since I'm undecided about getting a PS4.

Did you miss the part about it being 399.99? That's dirt cheap for the tech it offers, you won't be seeeing a price drop for many many years.
