...However, the problem with your analysis of QA/QC is that they are only doing day 1 patches relative to bugs or glitches, but there are probably cars and features that will also be worked in. Also we might get away with saying that due to what was conducted with GT5 and the fact that future features will be rolled out as later patches...
Makes no difference if the QA is being done for that or for all of it - my point was that all QA is flawed...can't be helped...it's almost a law of physics...in other words, I was making a quote-related joke about the fultility of worrying. I think you seem to be getting huffy about something I'm not saying - relaaax, it was just a joke.

Adding snowing effects and selecting a couple of jingle bell tunes for the Home screen since it will be Christmas in 3 weeks after GT6 launches.

This one should be updated with GT6 disc

I really don't see any QC or QA if there was then a first day patch wouldn't exist.
You do realize that you're describing a huge number of games released on all platforms since these systems became capable of net access...

I hope he's concentrating on the livery editor (assuming that it will be, sooner or later, in the game) .. because if so, let him there doing what we've asked many people for a long time, and I think is something the game needs a lot.
I should have clicked that Other tab too, but I just woke up after a week of utter yuck.... sore and brain dead. Like that last one is any news here. ;)

I'm sure that the teams have just about wrapped up their final torture testing and button down work, seeing as it's less than a month from release, and the master code is being finalized or is in the process of being stamped at Blu-ray plants. But beside the Day One patch, teams are going back to priority tasks. Modelers are making more cars and a few tracks. The Course Maker team is getting back to that monstrosity, unless Kaz is springing that on us out of the blue on day one. The sound team is likely going to work constantly on sample polishing and the sound engine. Livery Editor team on that. Network team making sure the system is ready. Online content team is toiling away on events and series. I doubt the physics team ever stops working. There may be a damage team at work for all I know. And I'm betting there is a core group of ninjas beginning, or likely resuming, the construction of GT7. And some of that work might filter back into GT6.

Kaz himself and a small team of exec-assistants are most likely doing some schmoozing of auto manufacturers, possibly racing teams and leagues, and considerable work making sure the launch party is good to go.

I think they are just polishing the final product. It's highly unlikely that they are adding stuff at this point. It even sounds like they are in a really tight schedule, reason why they are leaving a couple of things behind.

As long as they have a patch ready soon after release, I'm okay with it. Just don't delay the release, please... I couldn't stand anther "November 2010" drama again.

That'd require me to be huffy, not sure how you convey that over the internet though:boggled:

Also that still doesn't produce an understanding as to why PD can't impliment all planned features in their specified time line, that is a lack of QA and could be fixed with adequate QA. Once again it's not limited to bugs and glitches in the case of PD and I've already specified, try not to have a one track mind.

Kaz did say that they'll be updating GT6 for 12 months this time around. Or that could just be about Vision GT. I believe he said that both will last for 12 months... and DLC, who knows?

Yeah but that doesn't mean they aren't currently working on it to some capacity.

What? Do you know or ever worked in manufacturing/industry under this?

That's funny, considering.

Okay, as we appear to be communicating perpendicularly from each other, I'll drop it - it was, like I said last time merely a joke observation.

Seems from the news item Jordan posted, that the majority reason is correct:

Kazunori Yamauchi, who usually attends most high-profile media events, was notably absent. It was for good reason, though – he’s decided to stay home with his team at Polyphony Digital to help put the finishing touches on GT6, now less than a month away from release

Yeah seems that is correct, but it could be directly said that day one patches is apart of the final touches, most of us haven't known PD to use terms to what is normal. Eh, but who cares as long as we don't have massive day one issues like with past GT games.

I hope that means adding the rest of the content.
I hope the paint system will be proper.
I guess what Kaz said about the special paint that you can get them by doing community races, etc.
I guess they will be a single time use, like the chipsystem and the rest will be available for purchase.
The special paints will probably be the 100 Paint DLC from GT5

It's a Mazda, Mazda Familia! And y'all thought it would be another Skyline

Well I wouldn't be mad, but the special versions are useless, I understand if they add more Touring or Race Car versions but special ones like Midnight Purple? useless

Not the best but.. :D (GIMP - really glitchy when it's about editing gifs...)

Apparently PD have till 20th Nov to get the master disc out the door.
I wouldn't get too exited guys....a delay could still come.
If they make it past that date (Nov 20) then we are home free.

Not trying to be negative, but their previous timeframe with GT releases still makes me nervous.
