Wheel or Pad?

I use a T300rs,but believe me or not I prefer the T80 wheel over the T 300rs,it works better, perfect point to point, yeah it has no force feebsck but it just feels better at 270 drgrees rotation, you can tell the game was optimized for it.the bungee cord resistance feels great..even my gf friend said it felt more like a real car and she drives a brand new Jag,call me crazy, but its true..

Wow ,so far only one wheel user,it figures, this game is made for the pad it seems..
I love using a steering wheel but unlike a lot of people I can't justify spending the cash that Thrustmaster want from us(for a high quality wheel, I don't doubt but still).

I have a DFGT that isn't compatible with the PS4 which is a shame so I use my DS4.

This. I also refuse to have my hand forced when it comes to using Thrustmaster wheels for PS4 so I just play with a pad when it comes to current gen racers. Screw new gen sims.

DS4.

Don't have a wheel because in my house I don't have the proper space to assemble any kind of cockpit. Not even the most simple one... :(

Or it could be that people are refusing to buy Thrustmaster wheels as they are the only compatible wheels for the game, particularly if said people are owners of legacy wheels.
The T300rs is worth the money and great.

Straight up the pad sucks, ill never go back to that. .
Well, that's a matter of opinion, surely.

I know a few members here have been pleasantly surprised by the DS4's implementation in DC and find it quite useable. True, I have never used a wheel myself to compare, but still 'sucks' seems a bit extreme.

Well, ive been a real Sim racer for over 25 years now and once you get a wheel, you will never go back,i take it very seriously as im sure many ppl on this site do and understand what im talking about.Play with a pad is like playing with a toy in chace view, not sim,not real, but from this poll it seem to be all of you play with ds4s ,but if that what you prefer,so be it,peace aka Snake OilerX

I think you'll find that most actually use a wheel, that was my impression during the past five months - nor is it a case of preferences really, as there are various factors at play, already broached on this thread.

I'm curious however why you seem so intent on attempting to prove that the game is more controller friendly?

Im not,im only 2 to 3 seconds slower with my T300rs now,the pad is so twitchy, cant ever go back to a pad ever again..

The poll says more pad users than wheel..

Ahh, the poll...there wasn't actually one there for the first day, until Scaff added it - so maybe you don't have a fully definitive snapshot. Never mind though, like I said, I was more curious about the why, not the what.

Most simcade if not all are programmed for the pad over the wheel, because not everyone has a wheel,i cant even play using a pad anymore, but i do know the top players of driveclub use a pad, because i asked them.

Pad user. I'm going to buy the whole package (TS300, Shifter and G25 pedals adapter) probably after summer.
I have to drive a Ferrari 458 Speciale IRL this year (because driving a Gallardo LP570 SL was not enough:D) and my money will go for that.

That is longer than I've been alive so I assume you are more experienced than me. Anyway I am mainly wheel player but for this game I have gone back to pad. I prefer the feeling compared to the T300. I am actually surprised by number of wheel users being that high in this poll, I think it will be much higher pad users compared to wheel users like most console racing games if you take all players into account.

I consider myself quite average using pad in racing games but on this game for example, I did an event today, managed to get top spot with over 500 people in it and some of the competition having over 75 times more fame points than me. This game rewards having good racing lines and maintaining as much traction as you can like simulation games or real life in order to go fast.

I've just sent you a couple of challenges on quite short tracks (Less than 45 seconds), will be interesting to see if you can beat my times or at least be within two to three seconds using wheel. I imagine a top pad or wheel user should be able to beat them times by quite a few tenths.

There is nothing stopping people doing really a fast time with wheel though, seen some top times being done with them in this game.
