We certainly agree on a couple of points... The wheels on the 918 are 'not to my taste' either and there are very few beautiful cars built today đź‘Ť

well honestly the real life version of it is nicer that the design/concept pics i originally posted of it, but its still far from anything special in terms of looks

today cars i think look nice would include: McLaren MP4-12C, Merc SLS, FT-86 II Concept, Koenigsegg Agera R, Lambo Aventador , Noble M600 and so on....

Buddy, the Agera R is hideous...

Here's a pshop with proper wheels. It's not hard to see Porsche offering these with RS Spyder-esque wheels.

That looks awsome!

Very similar styled wheels to the ones fitted to the 997 GT3 RSR & Cup cars đź‘Ť

Does anyone finds Porche 918 Spyder looking lovely on Gulf Oil Livery with orange strips apart from center with Light blue body color?

Spyder goes on sale..... and no one buys the hideous thing.

The only thing correct in this post is that the car is going on sale.

Also, 'expect us'....seriously dude? Way to try and look cool because you discovered 4chan last week.

The 918 would also qualify for free road tax in the UK and no congestion charge in London
Or you could register your car as a taxi. It was on Top Gear some time ago, I don't know if they fixed this loophole yet.

The car is beautiful. I don't know how anyone could not like the styling but I guess it takes all kinds.

I'm interested to see how this car ultimately performs. I also can't wait to see how the 918 RSR performs (and if they enter it in Lemans).

If those above images aren't real, someone spent a lot of time to fake them.

Hardly any press material photos from car manufacturer's are real any more. Porsche has developed a unique approach to this aesthetic, and the 918 Spyder launch material shows this well.

Here's a video of their process:

I just think it's a good thing that the Germans finally embraced the hybrid technolgy. And in a far better package than a Prius.

I meant real as in official but interesting video either way.

The brochure is totally fake. Porsche would never offer livery 'films' and the whole thing doesn't feel professionally done. "V8 High Revving Engine"

I'll admit I didn't read it (just looked at the pictures) and the Martini thing did seem kind of strange. And why would only a few pages be leaked. But they are using the Martini livery on the 918 test car. I don't really know what to think.

Guess it shows how much you know then, because it is indeed real.

Nice pic. to go with the thread.

It sounds like a space ship.

I wonder if the Martini version comes with a vermouth holder.

*off to buy a lottery ticket*

This car is gorgeous. Can I say that about a car, the "gorgeous" part?

I'm not that interested in Porsche except for the 911 models (not the 996) and this one.
