I like the idea of a Carrera or Supercup, but imho you really should follow the technical specs as closely as possible (450bhp max), and use an appropriate tyre. Racing Hard would be more than adequate.

Then maybe you could run a race to match the 6 lap Nordschleife race which is happening around the Nur 24 hour weekend (later this month) as a support race and should be incredible with participants from all Porsche cups invited.

Maybe we will put 450hp and racing hard tires as restrictions. Let's see what anyone else has to say.

Love the idea and agree with the Carrera Cup specs 450 bhp max, 1250 kg min, Racing Hards.
I'm running a Clan RUF RGT Cup based on the Australian GT3 Cup specs. Well as close to ... based on the Carrera Cup 996 2002-2006 specs :)

Dependant on your time zone i'd line up as well ;)

Maybe we can do this Saturday at 9pm cdt if that works better for you guys? And run the regulations you are talking about?

I would be interested in a Saturday race @ 9:00CDT.

What spec have you settled on? To throw another log on the fire; this is spec we race, loosely based on the FIA GT3.

I like those specs. We can run with the hp, weight n tire restrictions n would prefer no aerodynamics as well. If this were an official league I would definitely insist on all the other tuning regulations. So I will set the restrictions accordingly.

Hi there.

Sat 9:00pm your time would suit me fine :)

As for regs i have been using google to research as well as carreracup dot com dot au and CAMS Confederation of Australian Motor Sports.

Essentially.

GT Auto:
Engine Overhaul
Restore Body Rigidity

GT Tuning:
Weight Reduction Stage 3
Rigidity Improvement
Sports ECU
Sports Intake Manifold
Titanium Racing Exhaust System
Sports Exhaust Manifold
Fully Customisable Transmission
Twin Plate Clutch
Semi Racing Flywheel
Fully Customisable LSD
Fully Customisable Suspension Kit
Racing Hard Tyres

The above the get you to 535 +/-2 bhp, 1170 kgs.
Power Limiter to 450 bhp - but prefer to take off Sports ECU, Sports Intake Manifold, Sports Exhaust Manifold, Titanium Racing Exhaust System and adjust from there. The more you use the Power Limiter to adjust more than 5-10% the performance curve flattens out (check the graph on the right).
Adjust ballast to 1200 kgs

I will posted up LSD + gear ratios as well if you wish.

Oh and Tier 2 Racing love the RGT in white :)

The RUF RGT in GT5 has no aero adjustments nor can you fit them in GT Auto :(

Did some TT last night on Cape Ring managed with specs listed above a 2:45.XXX with an average on 2:55's over 15 laps. Will send FR.

Man Time zones get me all screwed up. I would be interested in this too. What time is this EST? I also run the RUF in GT3.

I have this site http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ bookmarked :)

kenkwilinski [GTP_CrAzY_bAsS] is located Burbank/IL/USA, according to his/her sig.

I'm in Melb/AU.

So let me get this straight. according to that website CDT and EST are both (UTC-5). Time in Massachusetts is the same as Illinois. That can't be right?

Either way, I didn't notice he was in U.S.A. till I looked again. I can't do Wednesday night. But if you do switch it to 9pm Saturday I'd be interested. Both Tier and I could do it right after our GT3 race.

9 pm cdt is central daylight savings time, cst is standard time, thats in the fall. So est is actua lly edt right now. And either way eastern time(est or edt) is one hour ahead of cdt/cst. So boston is one hour ahead of me in chicago. I will change OP to 9pm cdt this saturday if that works for everyone......hopefully. We'll figure out a good time to do this. And this event will wait till a date/time is agreed upon.

So that's 10pm for me, on Sat., would be great. And the specs are 480hp, 1170kg, and Racing Med. tires? Awesome as well 'cause that's same specs we run. Ruf is a fun but demanding car to drive at that level. Not a lot of people seem to like the RGT, but I thinks it's great fun.

This will be Sunday 12:00pm Melb/AU time. I'll be there :)

I'm thinking of restricting a little more.....down to 453hp 1200kg

-including no aids, no damage and no penalties

Also I think its a very fun car to tame. It has amazing acceleration and steers like its 800kg! It drives like a charm once you correct the oversteer!!!

I'll create a roster for this and change the time as well on the OP

OP updated with date and schedule.

Added roster as well (9 guys!!)

And then I wanted to discuss this:

CAPE RING FULL COURSE 25 LAPS (maybe 15 laps because these laps are under 3 min approx 2:45 & at 25 laps thats over 1 hour but at 15 laps its under 45 min)
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

What you all thinking on laps??

VRacingfan - GMT is 6 hours ahead, thats UK. So BST is one hour ahead of GMT, but then CDT is also 1 hour ahead of CST. GMT is UK standard time & BST is UK daylight savings time. CDT is daylight savings as well, so I believe you are still 6 hours ahead of me if you live in UK. You do live in the UK, correct?

Alright so these race times would be at 3am Sunday morning / late-late Saturday night (UK time). Can you still do this at that time? If not.....maybe 6pm cdt will work for everyone? That would make it midnight for you - VRacingfan

6pm would be better but don't change it because of me unless everyone else would prefer it at 6pm. I appreciate what you are doing though.

Edit. It is the same time as ASRA so I won't make 6 if I qualify. Keep the times the same if you wish as I might as well stay up for the Ginettas if i'm already up because of ASRA.
