Wel, I see there is a petition on Facebook to make the last two rounds non-points paying.

Personally, I think that's wrong, and I'm disappointed that it was bought to my attention by a driver I respect a lot, and the feature of my avatar... Andy Priaulx.

Not remotely confirmed unless something new has come out since the article that was linked upthread. His widow stated that, but she explicitly stated that she based it on seeing the brake lights come on. The trouble with that reasoning is, the most likely failure modes for the brakes wouldn't have affected the operation of the indicator lights.

I still think it's more likely to have been brake failure.
 
It's always a harsh reminder of how lethal motor racing can be when one of our drivers is lost out on the track. Whether it was in an actual race or not makes little to no difference, it was still in a racing car. I'm thankful I was able to see Sean in action at this years Spanish Grand Prix in the supporting Porsche Supercup race, where he qualified on Pole, set the fastest lap and went on to win. Goodbye Sean Edwards.
