Possibility of a new kart track? - Spa Speculation

At first I found Kart Space a little too silly for my liking but that all changed after I tried out a few races online. With no exaggerations it was most likely the most fun I've had in GT5. To he quite honest I have to admit I prefer it over Spa.
Karting is a major part of motor sport. It teaches drivers the very basic of car management. It's a well known fact that the majority of racing drivers started karting at the beginning of their career.
For these two reasons I would love Kaz to invest some time developing new karting tracks, especially if they are real life circuits.

Just looked at it, and it looks like it's just there for looks. It would be a cool addition though, maybe it could be a bonus of some sort, like once you get to level 40 you unlock it, or gold all the karting Special Events.

The blocky textures could be a result of PD compressing the textures of areas that aren't really visible while racing. I have a feeling they have higher resolution textures that they'd use if they were to make the kart track. I also have a feeling there will be a kart track pack in the future with some from a few popular courses like the ones daan listed. But don't quote me on that. It's just something I think Kaz would want to do, considering his recent interest (apparently) with karting.

I remember spotting the Kart track at Fuji back in Prologue and had wondered if it would make an appearance with the Karts.

I would much rather see the Bugatti Circuit included however!

We weren't "supposed" to get karts until GT6, so there is the possibility of more new kart tracks in the future, if only for GT6.

oooo that looks like it would be so much fun. But yeah most tracks have some sort of kart track within the facility.

Daytona International Speedway has a track that the WKA uses every year. It's one of my favorite tracks. Has it's bumps but is very challenging. Will post a picture of it when I get the chance, with layout.

Le Sarthe has 3? I believe.

Tsukuba has one

Fuji Speedway has one, and they even have a skip pad and mini course that really should be on the game as well. Have driven on the Mini Course in a formula car. Great fun. But I think it would be a fantastic drift track for you drifters.

Spa Definitely has one

Suzuka has an epic track. Got to test on it on one of the Suzuka kart race test days. Probably the most fun track I've driven on to date.

I have heard the Nurburgring doesn't have an official one at the moment. But there are plans to build a few, incorporating part of the chicane near the end of the track into the kart track.


btw OP, that pic of Spa is incorrect. It has the wrong name for Rivage.

Now I thought a bit of it, there's a little kart track in the area between Stavelot and Blanchimont. Some of you may know of this.

You can see the little area there.

Here's another picture of the track.

I found that it is there in GT5, now, could be a possibility of making it into a track? Could it be something coming up? Really this just some speculation, so feel free to express your opinions.

This would be a great addition to the game.

Sorry but when do we get a 3,000m karting track? Karting track generator sucks, the tracks need to be more compressed, have lots of corners but the length cannot exceed about 1,300m 💡

It's the biggest karting track in Europe with a 1.4 km CIK-FIA approved competition track.

Even Michael Schumacher approves 👍

I know this isn't a wishlist but i couldn't resist to do some research on real kart tracks attached to real life circuits in Portugal and i found something quite intersting on Autódromo Internacional de Portimão

On the left side there is the track and variants on the bottom of the page says "with multiple versions of the track the users can choose from fast and challenging versions to sinuous and technical versions. There's also possibility of dividing the track into 2 or 3 different ones who can run simultaniouslly"

The big circuit also looks good and challenging
