Possible glitch with steering or handling in update 1.49

Ever since the update for the michelin tires update was released the game has been a little unplayable for me when I try drifting and sliding cars around they completely snap back into the opposite direction with the tiniest bit of counter steer or they tend to spin out easier than before it's noticeable on sports tires I've noticed several different people also had this same issue I've made a youtube video on it and the problem and it's not a glitch or anything like it'll be greatly appreciated to get some help on this

The youtube video explaining demonstrating the problem

Looks like you’re holding the countersteer too long. When the car starts to rotate back you need to reduce the countersteer.
@x12killed To kind of echo this, it looks like you are going full countersteer too early, before the car has got itself settled at a decent angle.

Because of this and the throttle still being near full the weight shift is snapping the car in the opposite direction and then you lift fully off the throttle at that point too which causes the car the completely spin.

I have found it a little bit harder to control a drift since the last update but I don't get the snap back during drifting, I just get too much oversteer.

Have you get the diff set to a 2-way or an LSD correctly set up too? This is a must if drifting on sport softs, I tend to go for sports hard or sports medium depending on power.

If the diff isn't set up then that would explain the on and off throttle snap and spin, you still need to keep a tiny bit of throttle to stabilise the car, if you fully lift off then you will struggle with sports softs immediately gripping and throwing you the opposite direction.

You're countersteering for too long as mentioned. Not a glitch.

Also, the more grip your tyres have, the more likely you are to get that snap back oversteer when they have grip again. Drifting is best done on comfort tyres.

It looks like that but I don't I turned a little bit and it does that I've posted clips at the end before that update came out and I drove exactly like that

"It's not a skill issue or anything"

Well, y'see...
Well it isn't at the end of the video I've posted clips of my trying to drive the exact same I turned the steering wheel slightly in the opposite direction and that happened especially when several other individuals also had the same problem drifting on sports hard or soft

I don't drift on comfort tires because it's insanely slow for years now I've been drifting on sports hard to soft and it feels too easy and not so skillful also slow to drift on at the end of the video I've shown a difference before and after the update of me drifting on the old update on both sports hard and soft

The cars are tuned all on different lsd tunes it looks like I'm holding a counter steer for too long but I'm not as soon as I turn the stick in the other direction that happens and this wasn't happening before the update

It does look like that but it isn't that I turned to counter steer for one second and that's what happened but I probably will put the controller movements on the screen to show I don't even fully turn and it does that

Dude, we can see the steering wheel. You're full countersteering with SS tires which are incredibly grippy, one step below racing slicks. What do you expect to happen? This is correct, realistic, and not in any way a glitch.

I'm literally not if I put a controller on the screen with the movements you'd see that and I drove the exact same way before this update came out this was never an issue also I put on sports hard in the video which has much less grip than sports soft my issue is the cars doing that as soon as I turn in the opposite direction several different people I've ran into discord or friends of Mines have realized this

It’s not about how much you’re turning, but about how long you’re turning. As soon as the car starts to rotate back you need to countersteer in the other direction. You can’t drive the same way as you did before the update, because the tyre grip simulation has changed.

The tire grip has changed I've realized that but In one of the clips I recorded the car immediately went the opposite direction when I tried to counter steer but it could be the tire grip most likely thank you for not being an Ahole and trying to help

That is how it should be. Drifting on sports hard tyres is like trying to drift on track-day tyres. Drifting on sports soft is like trying to drift on barely legal full track tyres with almost no tread. Anyone who's done this in the real world will tell you it's extremely difficult, because when the grip returns, there's so much of it the car can snap back in the other direction, as you've experienced.

Most of us weren't being a-holes - we told you the facts and you were the one who took offense.
