I got a blue crayfish today. He looks pretty cool.

His house. Made from fossils in my backyard. I would've got more pics but he got under there before I could get any more.

(totally not GTAV and Battlefield Bad Company 2 on the other side of the tank)

hahaha cones are hilarious. It was funny on my dog for about 10 minutes then it got old fast. He couldn't grasp that he was wider than usual so he would still try fit between legs and things but the cone would take skin off your legs on the way through.

This is Bowser extatic over a win in the footy

And bath time

Yeah he's getting stuck when running through the house. It's hilarious!

Is that a dog bath in your house? Neat! We used to have a dog bath in the garage (not anything like that one) but it's since became a dirty clothes hamper. We use our bathtub now.

Haha, it's dog wash down the road from my house. Like a commercial one attached to a car wash. Costs $10 to wash him for 10 minutes which is a massive rip off but he smells way better afterwards and it has a flea/tick rinse and stuff. Would be better value if he wasn't so scared of the blow drier. Takes about 4 minutes to wash him, flick the dryer on and he nearly does a backflip to get away from it. Not worth the struggle.

My dog Gizmo

She would be turning 10 this year, but we had some really bad news. She has a tumor and nothing can be done. I tell you what, having a dog is one of the best things in the world, but it's bloody hard to hear that they will be leaving you.

The animals and I are enjoying the sun today.

Our weimeraner (who's also named Lady) is getting old. She's deaf and partially blind and attacked another dog of ours (not sure which one, probably Brady or Dioge) when they approached her too fast and startled her. She has a big gash on her ear and a cut on her mouth. It doesn't seem to bother her though.

Some animals weren't having any of the outdoors today.

Edit: I'm sorry to hear that, @Bigbazz. I know that feeling of helplessness. :(

This is probably one of the hardest things one could possibly come across. It is even more striking when you finally realize 100% that your beloved furry ball just won't be around soon :(

I feel for you. My dog just grew extremely tired two weeks before she died. She wouldn't really even eat much. And then it struck me - oh my god, she's dying.

Her death was the first thing in 7 years to have made me cry.

I know where you are coming from, it's the first time I've cried in many years. Man, my dog means the world to me and it's hard to even imagine what it would be like without her about. I've noticed her being not right for the last few weeks/months not barking and running to the door when people turn up. Then we noticed a lump on her stomach, she wouldn't eat yesterday or go out so we took her to see the vet today, despite her appearing to be much better.

But yeah, I guess that is how it goes.. Both her sisters had cancer when they were very young but she (Gizmo) seemed to go strong. We've probably got a few more days with her at best, if she gets worse then we have to take her in.

Seems strange to talk about this negative stuff in a thread full of peoples pets! I appolagise for that, I'l be honest I never realised how much it would affect me, it's hard!

When I went to put him back into his rock that he was under, one of our cats was walking by and he grabbed onto my finger and would not let go. I think he was scared because I've found toads (still alive) in our house because of the cats, and he's probably remembering that. I had to pry him off of my hand to get him off.

Didn't notice I haven't posted my dog yet. His name is Dart (full name is Bruce Almighty Springsteen Dartagnan Conery Jr). He turned 11 years old on March 23rd. We got him as a puppy when he was 3 months old.
These two are about 4 years old.

We adopted this cutie today. Stupidly stopped in at animal welfare, should've known we'd come home with a dog. She was just too beautiful to leave. So relaxed and quiet in amongst the chaos of all the other dogs yapping.

Now we just have to see how she gets along with my other dog. He still has his nuts so he just wants to sniff and hump and she flips at him. I really hope they can sort it out. Any of you guys got some tips?

Fish are happy its finally spring.
Gotta jump in and clean the debris off the bottom.
Ponds about 5ft deep and a 12 foot diameter.

@Caz I love your pond! We have one of those pre-made plastic things. It's better than nothing but I'd really like something like what you have.

Thank you. I started with a shell, but after a short time realized it was just to small for the spot i put it. So i dug it outand built that one.
The watwrfalls have changed a feq times over the past few years, i keep adding teirs.

I also built a second pond using the shell i had originally which is used for my texas red eared and painted turtles.

Overall, my yard took me a few summers to complete, but it was a one man operation and im proud of it ;)

Last night I went to my backyard to hunt for nightcrawlers and I found some toads getting freaky.

And another one was trying to get freaky but he couldn't find anyone to get freaky with.

And then one of the frogs just got out thinking "Well this is really awkward."
